Odjbox Drops a Really Dope Future Hop Remix of

Moutains & Molehills By Flux Pavilion

Out Now !!!

Oli “Odjbox” Johnson burst onto the scene in 2011 with his self-released Swamp Stomp EP – his own dusty & riotous take on the Electro Swing sound. He has since self-released 4 additional EP’s as well as official releases on numerous labels including Circus Records, Cuckoo Records, Green Street Music & Sup Peeps Records.

His most popular track thus far though is his unofficial version of Nas – “Made you Look” which has garnered almost 500,000 plays on Soundcloud.

On 20th October 2014, Circus Records released a 10 track remix EP of the Flux Pavilion - Freeway EP. Odjbox features on this beyond-high-profile release alongside artists including Steve Aoki, Kill The Noise, LAXX & Kill Paris. Odjbox takes the penultimate track on the original Freeway EP, “Mountains & Molehills, feat Turin Brakes”, adds his signature glitch funk bass around the Turin vocals, throws some heavy snare rolls in for good measure and hey presto…it’s a winner

Delta Heavy Launch There new Single

“Reborn “

This Dnb Weapon has got everything you need

Tight Drums, Emotional Vocals,

Cinematic Strings and Serious BassLine

Quintessential stadium anthems are Delta Heavy’s forte and ‘Reborn’ demonstrates how they've gained this reputation. Setting show stopping-agendas since their first release on the RAM imprint, this next one is no different, however, a cinematic roller isn't all this release has to offer. With remixes from Spoils and June Miller, there’s a colour reel of sound spinning throughout; a host of tracks to suit every palette.

‘Reborn’ embodies exactly what Delta Heavy represents as a collaborative project. An arpeggio of notes leads delicately into emotionally charged vocals, pedestalling the record and creating a musically picturesque backdrop. With the undertow of a pounding morphine bassline and the relentless instrumentation of jungle infused drums, there’s no mistaking the artists’ nod towards their harder productions. Epic, timeless and puffed out with a grandeur composition, Delta Heavy have yet to disappoint.

On the remixes, June Miller carefully crafts their take against the original, uncompromising yet delicately woven and not without its predecessors’ emotional crescendo. And lastly, Spoils introduces us to a genre-infused uptake that catches you unaware, with a steppy melody which stays true to its roots yet delves deep into Spoil’s production aptitude.

So once again, it’s time to take up Delta Heavy’s offerings. They've delivered the perfect successor to their ‘Apollo EP’, yet again reasserting their title as one of the bass scene’s heavyweights.

Now signed to the Finger Lickin artists roster Father Funk delivers a brand new mix full of unheard and exlusive trakcs set to rock the dancefloor.

” I was thinking about doing a “Festival Funk Vol. 2” mix but since I already uploaded my Shindig set I thought it would be more fun to do something different and make a mix entirely from my own productions. Not only did I either produce or collab on all of these tracks but only one of them is up online, the rest I have been keeping on lock down for my sets or sending to a select few DJs. I had a lot of fun making these tracks for my sets at the festivals over the summer, so I’m stoked that you guys can finally hear them properly.

I hope you enjoy the mix, expect to see a lot of these tracks popping up in the coming months. I also have a 5-track EP coming out on Scour Records on October 30th titled “Phenomenal Funk” – the first track of this mixtape “Love Shack” is the first track of that EP.

Once again massive thanks to Bill Elder for his spectacular voice over work – you smashed it dude! “

This week on The Armory Podcast, we’re pleased to welcome Manchester’s Breaksjunky (aka Martyn King), a 2013 Breakspoll finalist for “Best New DJ”, to the 1s and 2s. Press play. Get down!

It has been a great start to the year for Breaksjunky, After being nominated in 2013 at Breakspoll International Breakbeat Awards for ‘Best New DJ’ and narrowly missing out, he came back even stronger to not only take the Award in 2014, putting his name on everyone’s lips, but also adding ‘Best Radio Show’ to the collection.

When Manchester’s Breaksjunky first stepped up to the decks in 2002 he had a simple ambition, to infect the masses with Big, Fat, Dirty BASS!! Since those early days he has only gone from strength to strength with a string of performances for some of the biggest names in Club Land, playing along side the like of: Grandmaster Flash, Plump DJs, Stanton Warriors, The Freestylers, Dub Pistols, Meat Katie, Cut La Roc, Elite Force, Far Too Loud, Gaudi, Dub Mafia, Slamboree, Monk3ylogic, Krossbow, Bad Tango & Justin Robertson to name a few.

Not content with just rubbing shoulders with the greats, Breaksjunky has made it his personal mission to play at all of the U.K’s most inspirational club nights and festivals. 2013 saw him play a string of stand out sets across the U.K and take to the stage at Boomtown Fair, Ravenstonedale Festival and being Honoured with opening the amazing, ‘Fortress’ stage at The Beat-Herder Festival.

As well as his own Radio Show, awards and DJ sets, Breaksjunky is also a chart success having his debut track “All That Junk” co produced with Zen Cartel, do very well in the Beatport Breaks chart since it’s release and has lots of new projects and co labs underway!

Most recently Breaksjunky has started to infect Europe & Asia performing in Copenhagen in Denmark, Bangkok & Phuket in Thailand and has more International bookings in the pipeline, he’s all about spreading the gospel of Breaks.

With the buzz still going after his current Awards, 2014 is set to be a another great year!!
