Detection are a House and Techno label from Nottingham and the first instalment of music I’ve found from them is this their superb free 8 track LP ‘2017 Ibiza’. I’ve no doubts that when all of these tracks landed on the white isle, the dance floors would have been full to brimming once everyone got to feel the groove heavy, acid and old skool flavoured House music that was being sent their way that have been created by an immensely talented pool of producers. If you need to stock up on dance floor heaters yourself, this LP is the one for you and why not stop there, as Detection has plenty more quality sounds like these on their Soundcloud page on the link below.

Although Illgorhythms are still a relatively new duo to hit the midtempo Funk n Bass scene, they’ve come flying out of the blocks with a handful of impressive releases so far. It’s always a great day when we get to send your way music from, WBBL, and it’s made even better when there’s 2 helpings from him! The first of these is his jaw dropping Drum n Bass remix of Childish Gambino‘s ‘Redbone’. It opens on a stunning Liquid D n B tip, which then flips to a feisty Jump Up banger. A gorgeous breakdown follows that then leads to more lush Liquid vibes and a big Jump Up hit to finish the track off in style. WBBL has used his remix to end many of his sets this summer and I’ve no doubts that anyone who has experienced on the festival front line, would have been absolutely buzzing to hear such a quality tune end what would have been an amazing set. Talking of amazing sets, here’s WBBL’s second helping of music, his 2017 Shambhala set from the infamous ‘Fractal Forrest‘ stage. If you’re thinking this mix is gonna be good, think again, because this 90 minute masterpiece is off the scale! His genre-defying dexterity on the wheels of steel is in full effect and the wobble, oh it’s there, big time! This is one of those mixes you’ll still be turning to in years to come, mark my words.

London based duo, Mihai Volonci and Sile Sandor, joined forces back in 2010 to form, GruuvElement’s. Techno and House is their love and since teaming up, they’ve gone on to make music that’s recognised by party people all around the world and have gained full support from some legendary names such as Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong and Steve Lawler to name just a few.

My first introduction to their music was when I came across their edit of Soul II Soul’s ‘Back To Life’ and as soon as I heard it I knew it had to shared. Their cool House spin on a true classic tune samples the chorus from the original and also features what sounds like an interview with Jazzie B which is woven in perfectly and adds a unique and interesting twist to a classy tune.

Because I’ve been hitting a few festivals over the last couple of months and because of the recovery from them, I’ve gotten miles behind with blogging. One of the tunes I’ve been meaning to send your way is Mafia Kiss’ latest free tune ‘Your Body’ which uses a sample that most will recognise from Tom Novy‘s 2004 hit of the same name. This slab of broken beat action is accompanied by an insane amount of bass and it has been road tested plenty of times with party-goers going nuts when the beast drops.

Because it to me so long to get ‘Your Body’ posted, Mafia Kiss has another 3 new bass weapons that you can now add to your arsenal. His own tunes ‘Think’ and ‘Raise’ and his remix of ‘Go Shake It’ by, Aggresivnes, can be found below but be prepared, these tunes pack a hefty punch! Let those bass cannons have it!

‘It’s A Bass Ting’ is the first in series of mixes that UK based, Kurse, will be dropping on a monthly basis. He’s kept things on the down-lo music wise for a while after the arrival of a little one, but he’s now found himself in a position where it’s time to get back to it and what a return he’s making with his new Bass heavy offering.
