Like many other people, I’m a person who chooses music for the moment. Whether it’s something that kicks hard for the wake up journey to work, or getting ready to hit the town, or whether it’s something more downtempo for a lazy Sunday or an evening winding down from hectic, stressy day at work, there’s always something out there for the current situation.

The current situation here takes us on a lush downtempo trip with this free 9 track album from French producer, Moar. He discovered all of the music on a tape of beats he made back in 1998 – 2000 and decided to go on a mission and deliver them to us in digial form so as that we can all enjoy them here and now. It’s turned out to be an inspired decision because the beats he made back then and recently polished up, are quite simply, sublime! The flavour of the music on offer is mind meltingly beautiful and will leave you having to peel yourself of the sofa as you sink further and further in as the album progresses. Tv off, phone on silent, and give all your attentions to these stunning sounds.

Slyde were a UK DJ/producer duo Robin Twelftree and Jason Laidback both with a well established musical background. The duo started the Slyde project back in 2002 and soon caught the eye of Finger Lickin Records a label which they called home for quite a few years and a place where they released their uniquie sound of Funky Breaks including the well known “Slipperty Slide“. Gaining a huge following the lads toured bringing their sound all over the world.

INAPT is the new project from a couple of guys who many of you will know as regulars on the LSM ward. These guys are, Phibes, so with that in mind, you will already know that there’s plenty of bass involved. This time however the bass is being directed in the direction of House, as it’s a style they dig and have been wanting a crack at for sometime now. It’s pretty fair to say that they’ve nailed it from the off with a remix of The Freestylers‘ ‘Ruffneck’ that is pure filth! Their remix is gonna do some serious damage to many dancefloors so make sure you’ve got it to hand to get your party rockin’! I guess it goes without saying that I’m always on the look out for new names to bring you and finding them is always a great pleasure. What’s even better than that is when they find you, which is the case with New York based producer, LowLight. He followed me on Soundcloud and as he had a number of tracks next to his name, an investigation had to take place. The investigation this time turned out to be me hitting the jackpot as what I found was a honey hole of Liquid Drum n Bass, with much of it up for free download, double bonus!

VA- The Xtraordinary League Of Junglists LP [Ruffneck Ting]

The, Fat! Club, is almost 20 years old now and in that time it has become a club night, blog, management company, booking agency and a record label. The latter of those is the branch we are most interested in right now because rolling off the Fat! Recordings production line is the new compilation album from them ‘Various Artists – Fat! Trax Vol II’.

On their new album they have rounded up a handful of both stone cold bassline classics, and a number of their more recent killer cuts released from themselves to present to us all in one very neatly wrapped package. The packaging won’t last long though because the heat given off these tracks will incinerate it instantly with heavy hit after heavy hit. As you’ll see, a couple of the tracks from Kry Wolf and Vodex are up for free download and the rest of the tracks on the album can be brought and listened to below. It’s clear that even after all these years, the Fat! Club still has a huge desire to make us wanna shake our asses to some very, very good music.
