Phibes have got their new INAPT project well underway since the huge success of their first release under their new alias. If you missed it, they’ve switched codes for the time being and are focusing their production skills on all things Bass House, Garage and Bassline. Their Freestylers remix hit the ground sprinting and with these two free tracks posted, it’s gonna be more of the same. Sweep The Floor Records Catch Up Nov 2016

Swedish producer Garmiani has been bashing out the big room beats for a few years now, but this is probably his biggest release to date. On MC duties he’s got Walshy Fire, one third of Major Lazer, and that makes for a wicked blend of dancehall vocals and festival rave madness. It’s not a tune that’s going to be to everyone’s taste, but it will hit the spot for those big dancefloors and is one of the more original sounding main room house tracks around. It’s also Walshy Fire’s first ever vocal on a record, so big up to him for pushing himself in new ways!

Minnesota based producer, DJ Blue Funk, is a huge admirer of the Italian band, Funkallisto and their Afro Funk approach to music. He digs their sound so much that he decided he needed to put his spin on one of their tunes. He chose Funkallisto’s cover of ‘Pick Up The Pieces’ by, Average White Band, and as he’s a lover of Breakbeat, crisp, fresh and clean broken beats are added to the funky horns that remain from the original. Super groovy stuff I’m sure you’ll agree.
