Hello! Dave No Hands here (founder of LSM). I have started a new funk night at a bar called The North Star, next to the Ealing Broadway tube in London. I wanted to invite you all to come so I have put together two mixes of funky groovy bassline coolness for you to download.

The North Star is a cracking wee bar and is situated across the road from where Mick Jagger and Keith Richards met Brian Jones, forming the Rolling Stones. The gig’s on the last Friday of every month which is payday (something definitely worth celebrating…), so come join us at the North Star, for “Thank Funk It’s Friday…” presented by DJ Mr No Hands. Next one’s on the 27th September, 8 till late.

Why do I feel like I’m going to catch some words from some people on this one???

Here’s a Qdup Re-Rub version of Blurred Lines. I did this when I first heard it back in May, before it really saw the huge attention that it garnered over the summer. I had no idea it would have been as big as it got and more did it for a bit of fun as I loved the beat and feel of the track and was pretty happy to have heard both Get Lucky and this track being a glimpse of funky & disco inspired music being played on the radio. There has been a lot of controversy over this track this year. People either seem to HATE or LOVE this track. It’s all just for a bit of fun and not to be taken too seriously.
