Mark Heaney’s career has spanned a staggering 30 years. Having played with numerous bands including The Seahorses, The Shining and more recently post punk legends Gang of Four, as well as session drumming for some of the world’s greatest producers, working with the likes of The Stone Roses, Placebo, Dream Theatre and David Bowie to name a few.

Described by Rhythm Magazine as ‘one of the most jaw dropping drummers in the UK’, Mark is renowned for his aggressive style, frightening speed and flawless technique.

He is also an established composer, having lent his services to various music houses including Sony and EMI.

Monument of Sound, Pt. I showcases Mark’s skill set as both a producer and a drummer. With beautifully composed musical backdrops, this collection of chilled tracks combine a cool blend of ambient pads and atmospheres with synths, lo-fi samples and of course, live drums. Pt. These two artists have a great story, from humble beginnings self teaching themselves in music production back in 2008, there has been a steady rise for the two brothers from down under. Since the early days, their music has had support from the biggest names in DnB and this latest release will only further enhance that reputation, while ‘Alone Without You’ is perfect for the clubs, ‘AM PM’ gets a lot darker and grittier and is well suited to some fist pumping moments in the rave!!!!

Love & Other continue their dominance within the house music realm. This new one from Portland’s JASON BURNS has me, like whoa.

The tune starts innocently enough. The lush vocals from Cybil combined with soft piano tell us this is one of those house tunes everyone can get down to. The subtle garage vibes give way to a bassline that’s a little more sinister. Big, round and bubbling, the low end catches us a little bit by surprise – but the kicker is the growling wumph every two bars.
