Mark Heaney - Monument Of Sound Pt.1

Mark Heaney’s career has spanned a staggering 30 years. Having played with numerous bands including The Seahorses, The Shining and more recently post punk legends Gang of Four, as well as session drumming for some of the world’s greatest producers, working with the likes of The Stone Roses, Placebo, Dream Theatre and David Bowie to name a few.

Described by Rhythm Magazine as ‘one of the most jaw dropping drummers in the UK’, Mark is renowned for his aggressive style, frightening speed and flawless technique.

He is also an established composer, having lent his services to various music houses including Sony and EMI.

Monument of Sound, Pt. I showcases Mark’s skill set as both a producer and a drummer. With beautifully composed musical backdrops, this collection of chilled tracks combine a cool blend of ambient pads and atmospheres with synths, lo-fi samples and of course, live drums. Pt. II will be an altogether more intense and uptempo affair, featuring Mark’s powerful trademark drumming style with an overall tougher sound. Monument of Sound, Pt.
