Jason Laidback continues to be one of the most prolific bass producers dropping hit after hit on his own label Nightprowl. In 2015 he released ‘Freaky Ways’ featuring the vocals of Simm (Todd Terry / Deekline) and this had some great support from the likes of Orbital, Leeroy Thornhill, Lady Waks and Kissy Sell Out.

2016 sees him release this wicked Dub Pistols remix of ‘Freaky Ways’ and to top it off... he’s giving it away as a FREE DOWNLOAD!!!

After Arteo popped on to the ward a few days ago with his latest tune ‘You’ll Never Know‘, he’s now returned with his beat making brother, Dubra, with not only a new free track, but also a nifty free mix too.

Their new track ‘Blind’ is a sublime piece of liquid bass funk that uses a Snoop Dogg sample and compared to their hefty hitters they’ve conjured up before, this one has the feel of a tune you can quite easily sink into with complete ease. That goes for their mix too which features their new tune along with Arteo’s latest track and a several other unreleased tracks that will no doubt see the light of day sometime very soon, fingers crossed! Top draw Bass Funk business from two dudes who are making very deserved names for themselves.

One of the top funkin’ labels on the planet, Bombstrikes, are responsible for delivering Dubra and Arteo’s new tune and you can expect even more from this combo as the guys have an EP due out on the label in the not to distant future. Keep your eyes peeled for what will undoubtedly be something very special.

Download ‘Blind’ here via The Artist Union.

We just can’t keep Pecoe off the ward lately and to be honest, why would we when he keeps rolling out sugar coated ear candy like his latest free tune, a pumped up, Funk filled rework of The JBs‘ ‘Pass The Peas’. Without getting to mushy about things, we just want to say we’re loving his work massively!

Cynical Gene marches forward with furious intent. Intent on filling your mind with an overload of neural activity, triggered by the crisp D&B of the forthcoming, ‘Marching Forward EP’ on Physmatics.

We enter the battle zone with some oldskool style Techstep on the title track. This bad boy will take you back to the days of No U Turn and conjure up a dark dystopian Sci-Fi world in your mind.

‘Funk Hustler’ is an energy fuelled fist pumper with bold and brassy keys and beats. The swagger of Hip Hop meets the intense rollercoaster journey of proper Drum & Bass!

‘The Way Is Clear’ growls, leers, kicks, and swipes like an MMA fighter. Imagine you’re in the cage and ready to absorb some serious musical blows, this one doesn’t ramp!!!

‘Aprilis’ lightens the mood with more of a soulful uplifting sound, while keeping the beats bangin’ and the bass boomin’.

This EP should be marching forward straight into your DJ wallet, ready to perform surgical strikes on the dance floor!!!

It’s time for some of that mighty fine House Music that the Unique2Rhythm brand brings. The awesome ‘Temperature Rising’ is back with a super fresh new remix.

You can read about how much we love the original here and we thoroughly recommend buying a copy if you haven’t yet. Here we wish to say a few words on why Kenny Jaeger & Opolopo have made a statement of classiness with their remix.

The remixers have injected a trunk of funk into the original with phat P Funk style pads and jackin’ beats looped with cut up vox. They make sure to keep the all important features of the original though, namely the uplifting pianos and gorgeous vocals.

Once again, Unique2Rhythm up the ante while notching up another fantastic addition to label back cat. We give this a 10/10 because we truly love it!!!
