Spanish born Pachy Hildago is the one man band known as The Beatkillers with a long history in the local Breaks scene from DJ to Producer and now running his own digital label called Deep Low Records. Barely Nerdy has been dropping a bunch of edits and tunes over on his Soundcloud over the last couple of years this mix highlights his talent as a producer and DJ, go grab yourself a download !

Manchester based, Beatphreak, is a label that by it’s own admission, may not be one of the biggest around. There’s no way that can last forever though, especially when you check out the music they’ve released so far! You can find a mind pleasing assortment of sounds from them that include Funky Breaks, House, Hip Hop, Downtempo, R&B, Soul and Disco, to name just a few.

It’s Disco where we’re heading with the latest release from them and this one is absolute gold! It was put together by label bossman, Jason Turton, as a teaser in the run up to one of two nights he runs called, Cadillac, that was held a just over two weeks ago. His edit see him perfectly piece together the sounds of The Emotions and Loleatta Holloway while adding in some serious groove of his own making, and there’s no doubts whatsoever that the dance floor would have been filled when it got it’s time to shine. Make your party the talk of the town and get it downloaded and in your possession.

Relative newcomers to the Ghetto Funk/Funky Breaks scene, The Liberty Chaps, return to the ward with the 4th release of theirs and although it’s early days for these guys, it sounds like they’re gonna be around for quite a while, especially if you take into account their latest piece of work which sees them put their spin on Gorrilaz ’19-2000′. Fat, chunky, funky midtempo bass and beats is the name of the game here and as an added bonus, the positivity levels are sky high! This one’s a winner for sure.
