Move Your Body Feat. Mustafa Akbar (Lack Jemmon Rmx)
It’s certainly sounding like, Lack Jemmon have got their summertime party heads on if this remix of ‘Move Your Body’ by, Basement Freaks is anything to go by. The original, a low slung funky groover, has now emerged as a full blown Disco House fireball and if you thought the beats and boogie was sounding sweet from the intro, wait till the vocal from, Mustafa Akbar drops in, amazing! Make you day, no, your life massively better by listening and then owning this little gem.
If you’ve not already checked out Basement Freaks album ‘Time Machine’ that ‘Move Your Body’ is taken from, we’ve popped that on here too as it’s a must listen album, especially for those who like to get down to some seriously funky business. Listen, like, love, is pretty much how things will pan once you get stuck into the album. An experience not to be missed!

Stickybuds recently took to the airwaves on New Zealand’s RDU 98.5 FM hijacking the “Glitch In The System” radio show and laying down 2 hours of the best tunes that he is digging right now including a special sneak peek at some of the tunes from Featurecast’s new album out in April this year. This is not a mix but a nice insight into Stickybuds as he comments for each track played.

Basemnt Freaks - Little Red Afro - Jon H Tribute & Album Link
We are back with a new album and our own unique brand of future funk -
Time Machine
Is out on Jalapeno Records in February 2016.
Vocal appearances on the album come courtesy of Kylie Auldist (The Bamboos, Tru Thoughts) John Turrell (Smoove & Turrell), Mustafa Akbar (Fort Knox Recordings) and of course it wouldn’t be complete without the unmistakable falsetto of longtime collaborator Georges Perin.
The album title alludes to the fact this record was made with a concerted effort to keep things old school and the production was undertaken using analogue tools to emulate the same techniques that were used for the funk greats that influenced the record like George Clinton, Funkadelic, Curtis Mayfield and of course the aforementioned Godfather Of Soul.
The Freaks have dedicated the album to the memory of their friend Jon H (of Fort Knox Five) who sadly passed away in 2015 whilst the record was being written.
