Specimen A has ended 2015 and started 2016 with a real bang! First up is two new free downloads that have been released very recently on, Electric Avenue. ‘On Fire Again’ is an absolute stomping monster with a gnarly Electro House vibe about it and ‘Fuck Up The Party’ will do just that as it rains down it’s Glitchy goodness on your party and even has a, Wild West, guns at dawn intro and breakdown going on! Ferocious stuff all round!

If that wasn’t enough, last month, Specimen A joined forces with, Atomic Drop and Cheshire Cat, to put together a three track EP of blistering beats! In a melting pot they threw in elements of Garage, House, Breaks and Bassline as well as generous sprinkle of the old skool flavouring and the outcome is a bevvy of beauties that when dropped will have bars and clubs holding up signs saying “dancing room only”! Specimen A team up with Atomic Drop and go Back to Back with Cheshire Cat to make a 3 track EP of all things Breaks and Bass. Keeping the focus on a retro sound the lads mix elements of garage , house , breaks and bassline into this EP to make something truly ‘UK’ in flavour. All weighing in at 128 bpm, they kick off the EP with 'Back to Back'.

Eerie pads, distorted bass booms and a vocal chant cue you up for a 4x4 onslaught of basses before it quickly makes way for a broken beat and more vocals. Next up, ‘Bust up the speaker’ is a more light hearted affair. Kicking off from the get go with a simple bass hook into a garage beat.The breakdown is packed with old skool rave stabs and breaks from another era before all making way for a 4x4 drop re interpreting the main hook. The 3rd and final track is a big song for all the weed smokers out there. ‘Ganja’ is a heavy weight breaks roller with a broken beat and super low basses rolling up the EP in a truly dope way.
