8Ball (aka Josh Damon) has been DJing since ’96, starting with drum ‘n bass and then breaks in underground parties and on the playa. These days 8Ball plays all sorts of genres, from breaks to disco, from old school hip hop to new school funk, rock to electro, and all sorts of stuff in-between. He’s one of the founding members of Space Cowboys. He’s also one of the producers for the RIPEcast, a weekly podcast of fresh DJ mixes from Space Cowboy DJs and friends.

Recorded LIVE at the Red Light Lounge, Dallas, Texas and mixing together some of the latest Breaks and Bass Around is Joe C, a Dallas, Texas based DJ/Producer making a name for himself in the breaks scene. He has a huge love for all bass music and finds his roots in breaks, electro, house and drum & bass. Signing on with Ground Level Records in 2012 Joe has been constantly pushing his sound to the masses with continued support from some of the biggest names in breaks.

The seventh renewal of the Space Cowboys’ and SunsetSF’s co-production of Ghost Ship Halloween was nothing short of spectacular. This year the mind-blowing art and music of Ghost Ship was spread over two nights instead of one. It was a great privilege to be a part of such an amazing spectacle once again. This is the recording of my midnight set on the Mog during the second night of the festivities.
