“All killers no fillers” is the main byline from Breakspoll award winning DJ Breaksjunky as he hits us with Volume 3 of his “If It Ain’t Broke, Break It” mixes, a continuing series of Breaks & Bass tunes professionally put together with Breaksjunky’s ability to get the floor moving. We just can’t keep Tonbe‘s alter ego, Loshmi, out of the ward lately and to be honest, why would we want to when he keeps dropping highly explosive Disco grenades like this latest one posted. His edit of The S.O.S Band‘s ‘Just Be Good To Me’ has seen him bring a Disco House feel to a tune that’s so familiar to so many and can now be shared and played and parties everywhere.

This is just one of many new tunes to be be released on, Fruity Flavour, the label which hosts all of Loshmi’s music and plenty of Tonbe’s own work to. As promised Aquasky has set loose his second mix of three for the month of February. This second mix is a full on Breakbeat assault with tunes from Aquasky and the Passenger label back catalogue. The mix was originally done for Lady Waks and her In Beats We Trust Show on Russia’s Radio Record network.

All tunes are mixed on the fly with no timing up of tracks like some DJs like to do.

Darshan Jesrani takes House music back to its origins with just over 7min of lush string arrangements, spatial grooves and 80’s Electro inspired keys. ‘Mirror Test’ sounds like a heartfelt tribute to the pioneers of the sound. Between the subtle sounds and minimal design of this track is the sound of hope, positivity and rebirth. Listening to this track, we are reminded of simpler, happier times. ‘Replace Yourself’ moves further along the House music timeline to the early 90s and its transformative effects. A breezy disco/soul style drifts in and out of the uptempo beats akin to that period of time but sounding 110% in 2017. Much needed fresh air from Darshan Jesrani, breath it in deep!!!
