Sid Wesley – Bring On The Brass Volume 2
Fellow blogger Sid Wesley who writes articles for the Life Support Machine website definitely brings the Funk with a new mix of his “Bring On The Brass Volume 2”. Over an hours worth of a Funky music variety sending out a celebration of brass in the tracks he has chosen to which in his mind adds an extra spark to the music he adores. He approaches the mix with a Funk/Disco groove throughout which works very well, worth a listen and a FREE download, enjoy !

Max Kernmayer – Back And Forth EP – White Widow Records
White Widow Records have released a shed load of music since their inception way back in 2013. They’re regularly release some of the best House music you can hope to find that covers the Tech, Deep and Bass aspects of the genre. They’ll bring you music from some more established names of the scene, as well rising stars and yet to be discovered producers, which is where we find ourselves with, Max Kernmayer.
Max is definitely one of those to keep an eye on and his new ‘Back And Forth‘ EP backs up that claim perfectly. The two tracks on his EP are definitely ones to be filed in your ‘floor fillers’ file. Both tunes mean business and the title track of the EP ‘Back N Forth’ just edges it in the ass kicking stakes. ‘Go Like This’ still packs a punch mind you, but as it has a darker feel, the intensity is more focused than full on. Finishing off the EP is Russia based, Jax D, who serves up a superb Acid flavoured remix of ‘Go Like This’. Top tunes everywhere, make them yours!

Phibes – D n B Free Downloads
It’s no surprise that Phibes have a summer that packs full of festival gigs and featuring heavily in their sets will be many of their heavy-hitting D n B remixes. I don’t think even they realised just how much this side of their production work would take off and they must be buzzin’ to see that their remix ‘Voodoo People‘ has now had 180k plays on Soundcloud!
Another couple of tracks that have been doing the business are these two posted and they’re the latest tracks of theirs to be given away for free. ‘Bad Boy‘ and ‘We Run Tingz‘ both offer plenty of insane tear-out action that will have the crowds bouncing as one throughout the festival season. Grab em while they’re hot and get your party doing the same.

Friendly – Triple J Mixup – 7.4.2007
Andrew Kornweibel aka Friendly is an Australian born artist who moved to London in late 2001. Launching himself onto the ripe UK Breaks scene his first release on Boombox Records (Greedy Filthy Dirty/F-ing In Public) gained him support and respect from many breaks heavy weights at that time. He then moved onto Fat! Records working closely with Paul Arnold and had various hit releases including Glottal Stomp/Foot Rocker. I’m not too sure what Andrew is up to today and as a bit of trivia Andrew’s dad was a business partner with my dad in an architectural firm.

Caspa - 33 Degrees [Sub Soldiers]
The late night tremors persist… Caspa’s single-track ‘Vibrations Series’ continues with another demonstrative dead drop. Having launched late last year with the perennial underground smasher ‘Umbongo’, followed by the heavy drama and high demand of ‘Venom’ and ‘Get Higher’ the low-end pioneer’s mission is simple: To deliver crystal club hitters with singular focus on quality, no unnecessary fluff or flab to any release, just precision focused primetime dark room bass that make every bone in your body vibrate. Well, the clue is in the title.
Next up in the series is ’33 Degrees’. Not just the perfect temperature for living and playing, or indeed an acute angle, but a track loaded with such stark strings and solar science we guarantee every hair on your skin will stand on end. Fuelled by a series of warm, unhurried modulations that take a tonal twist on the second drop, the tune ploughs deep into the cosmos with a strident dynamic that leaves nothing in its wake. Ageless classicism.
With no final date in sight and Caspa going on record to say he’s sitting on the biggest percy stash of bangers he’s ever made, these tremors are only going to get louder. Trust us; we’re going to be feeling good “Vibrations” for long time yet. Like we said, the clue is in the title…
