To get all attendees in the mood for the Funk heading their way, Fort Knox Five a.k.a DC’s Finest, have dropped this awesome Funky Breaks remix of C&C Music Factory’s ‘Do You Wanna Get Funky‘. It seems Pecoe really has the production bug right now. We’ve featured many of his tracks and mixes already here on the ward and this new tune of his posted is just one of many more that are on the way. Fort Knox Five (FK5) was formed back in 2003 by four like-minded musicians, Steve Raskin, Jon Horvath (RIP), Rob Myers and Sid Barcelona. Each musician in the group have also worked with other acts in the music industry including Thunderball, Thievery Corporation and See-I to name a few. Fort Knox Five also formed their own label Fort Knox Recordings to release their unique style of funky music. Fort Knox Recordings still runs today with various artists contributing their music over the years and giving the label its mass following. With the recent sad passing of Jon Horvath they still continue to play shows as a LIVE instrumental act as well as rocking the turntables to the masses.

Adam Mills aka A.Skillz is a legendary musical artist hailing from the United Kingdom. Capable of rocking every party that he DJ’s at, A.Skillz has the unique ability to mix every kind of genre of music LIVE and get the dance floor moving. This Funk loving individual has seen him appear at big and small stages on every 4 corners of the globe. This bootleg recording i managed to find while searching the interwebs back in 2007, pretty much not available any where so it’s pretty damn rare. Enjoy

Alexic Rod aka Colombo is an award winning artist hailing from Malaga, Spain. In 2010 he won Best New Producer at the Breakspoll Awards and followed this up in 2011 by winning Best Producer while also winning Best Track called “Everybody” for the same year. Colombo was also one part of another award winning act called Bass Star Dos along with fellow Spaniard DJ Kultür.
