To me the Plump DJs were the leaders in the early Nuskool Breaks scene back in the 2000’s, leading the way with new innovative tunes and tight DJs mixes of some very underground music at that time. Lee Rous and Andy Gardner make up the duo that is the Plump DJs with over 20 years experience in the game and are still touring and producing great music till this day.

This mix was recorded LIVE at the 4th Anniversary of Raveart (Spanish Breakbeat Festival) back in 2006.

Most people will remember Freq Nasty (aka Darin McFayden) as the man with the long dreadlocks. Born in Fiji and moved to New Zealand as a child Freq Nasty made a name for himself in the early era of the popular Nu Skool Breaks scene developing his own unique style of music as a producer and DJ using a selection of very underground tunes in his mixes.

Krafty Kuts, real name Martin Reeves is one of the most influential people in the electronic music scene today with experience as a DJ / Producer for more than a decade. Never one to be tied down to a defined genre Krafty has mixed it with the best and has crafted (pardon the pun) the breaks scene in to what it is today. Many artists have come and gone over the years but Krafty is still here leading the way !

This mix was recorded as a promo mix for Australia’s Big Day Out Festival and aired on Australia’s NOVA FM back in 2008.
