Basically Tayo is a legend when it comes to the breakbeat scene…..

After paying his warm up dues as a drum and bass DJ alongside Fabio, Grooverider and Peshay, Tayo set up Friction with fellow members of the breakbeat elite, Adam Freeland and Rennie Pilgrem and watched the club and it’s residents become a focal point for the UK breakbeat sound.

With other residencies back in the day at Fabric, Bugged Out! and Big Beat Boutique to name a few and various appearances on the Kiss FM Breakbeat show Tayo made a name for himself as a DJ playing along side the likes of Carl Cox, Layo & Bushwacka, Hybrid, Lee Burridge and Craig Richards as well as the endless people he met while on his travels around the world.

After a 2 month stint in Australia playing various clubs and festivals Tayo put together the exclusive mix for Triple J Radio back in January 2004.

Lanx and Nick Slater, aka the Drumattic Twins, have been a leading force in dance music since they first began touring over 20 years ago. Making their name as Shades of Rhythm, they ruled the early nineties rave scene with legendary anthems ‘Sweet Sensation’, ‘Sound of Eden’, ‘Extacy’ and ‘Homicide’ and performed with the likes of The Prodigy and N-Joi.

Since rebranding themselves as the Drumattic Twins in 1997, Nick and Lanx quickly replicated this global notoriety thanks to the massive hit tracks ‘Feelin Kinda Strange’ ‘Twister’ and ‘HyperSpeed’. They teamed up with the legendary release platform Finger Lickin Records in 1999 and settled quickly into the close-knit world of the breakbeat scene, working alongside global acts such as Plump DJs, Soul of Man and Lee Coombs.

From a string of releases from 1999 starting with top the selling “Feeling Kinda Strange” till late 2013 with their “Get Up and Dance EP” on Sugarbeat Records and 2 full length albums in between the Drumattic Twins have laid down a variety of music that have influenced the Breaks Scene and shaped it in to what it is today.

This LIVE mix was recorded at the Winter Break Festival by Triple J Radio Australia back in 2004.

Detach is a DJ/Producer from Khabarovsk, Russia. Starting off as a breakdancer at the age of 14 under the name of Bboy Vanish. In 2005 he leaped into the world of DJing, found his love for everything Breaks and hasn’t looked back since. In 2008 he started his own label Subtribe Records, this mix was specially made for the Funktasty Crew in Spain.
