This week on The RIPEcast it’s DJ Zach Moore’s set as recorded live from Gratitude NYC’s Axis Mundi in Brooklyn, NY this past weekend.

As a member and resident of Space Cowboys, DJ Zach Moore spins events from San Francisco to the Black Rock Desert to New York City and beyond. Over his ten-year career, Zach has played epic, sold-out events like Outside Lands, Burning Man, Treasure Island Music Festival, Lightning in a Bottle, PEX Summer Fest, GhostShip Halloween and the legendary Breakfast of Champions.

In San Francisco nightlife, Zach is known for three distinct styles of dance music: party-rockin UK & Florida breaks, funky nu-school house and soothing, atmospheric house which he plays under the alias, W.Haze. Zach is also known as the creator of The Armory Podcast and for his work on The RIPEcast, the Space Cowboys’ Breakspoll-nominated, electronic music podcast.

It seems I can’t deny! The Freestylers get busy and in 5.13 create a mash up some of their favorite tunes … Ladies and gentlemen, this rocks. Using ‘The Shakedown – at night’ from 2002 as the main riff it is re-vamped, re-funked and re-fulled for  2014. What ever your genre, this weapon of choice is a peak-time classic.

A treat for the vinylists out there, you better be quick with this one though as copies are limited, as the title suggests, the 2 tracks are themed on seminal 80′s Arnie movies, first up is the rumbling ‘Predator’ sounding like Remarc back in the day, huge sub bass, tightly spliced and crisp amen breaks and tons and tons of D.A.R.K atmos, ‘The Butcher Of Bakersfield’ is just a must have track, slickly produced, The Running Man theme tune gets an amen workover to get militant over!!! If you love Jungle, love a bit of the old plastic and happen to be a bit of an old skool Arnie fan then like we say, be qucik, get to de choppaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!!
