It seems Pecoe really has the production bug right now. We’ve featured many of his tracks and mixes already here on the ward and this new tune of his posted is just one of many more that are on the way. Fort Knox Five (FK5) was formed back in 2003 by four like-minded musicians, Steve Raskin, Jon Horvath (RIP), Rob Myers and Sid Barcelona. Each musician in the group have also worked with other acts in the music industry including Thunderball, Thievery Corporation and See-I to name a few. Fort Knox Five also formed their own label Fort Knox Recordings to release their unique style of funky music. Fort Knox Recordings still runs today with various artists contributing their music over the years and giving the label its mass following. With the recent sad passing of Jon Horvath they still continue to play shows as a LIVE instrumental act as well as rocking the turntables to the masses.

It feels like ages since we’ve heard anything from Se7en Deadly Breaks and to be honest, this offering from them nearly slipped through the net. Their ‘Beat‘ EP was released on Urban Music a couple of months ago and was recently discovered and because these guys really know how to break their beats, it had to be sent your way. The first of the two tracks ‘Beatdown‘ offers dark Jungle infused Breaks that will go off during the peaktime hours. ‘Beat Go‘ is a far more minimal approach with bass ruling the waves to create a tune that’ll twist and break your mind in the early hours.

There’s only a small preview of each track, but we’re sure there’s more than enough to grab your attention and have you snapping up this heavyweight EP.

One thing is for sure, this re-lick from, Beat-Breaker, of Pecoe’s remix of Technotronic’s ‘Pump Up The Jam‘, will do nothing to ease the intense heat being felt here in the UK right now! Pecoe’s cracking remix kicked hard enough to smash open doors, Beat-Breakers re-lick however, well that’ll smash everything that surrounded the doors. The bass is in this is the kind that should really be listened to after the watershed, simply because of the down right filth it brings to the track!
