Since 2002 Martyn ‘ Breaksjunky ‘ King has been dishing out lashing’s of full on breaks and bass to the Manchester massive. Playing local nights Breaksjunky has built up a reputation for tearing up a dance floor or 2 with his infectious appetite for tracks that’ll rock your socks.

2013 was Breaksjunky‘s biggest year by far. Playing around the country and out of it as he visited Denmark and Thailand for the first times. He also played Ravenstonedale Festival, Boomtown Fair and opened the Fortress stage at The Beat Herder Festival where he received massive big up’s from the legendary Barry Ashworth for his set. High praise indeed! He also received a nomination for best breakthrough dj at the Breakspoll Awards 2013.

This mix coincides with the launch of Breaksjunky’s new night in Manchester, Breaks n Bass. On the line up for the night will be Ying n Yang, Ray Inthecloud, Breaksjunky ( of course ) and stopping by on his History Of Bass Tour, James D’ley. The night is on the 21st March at Tribeca Bar, Manchester. Tickets are on sale now so if your in the area pop on in and fill your boots with bass!

Towards the end of 2013 Breaksjunky and his pal Zen Cartel were both signed to V.I.M Records and have very recently released a new breakbeat single which is available to buy from Beatport called All That Junk. Packed to the rafters with dirty bass this is one to shake your bones whilst throwing your best shapes! Get your copy now!

He likes big vocals, big synths and big harmonies that create big smiles on the dancefloor! If you are in touch with the nudisco scene you are bound to have heard of Sydney’s Cassian. Here we see him rework Cajmere’s 2004 classic ‘Brighter Days’. Originally created for his first trip to Miami for WMC 2 years ago,it is now available for free download!
