'Feel It' is a glitchy, bass heavy number that feels all together at home amongst the Instant Vibes family. It's charged up bass line is further enhanced by the epic 70s samples, sharp vocal stabs and glitch-hop sounds. It's a futuristic floor filler and a mighty banger of a tune.

The anthemic second track on the EP 'Ready For This' is a pure Summer time tune. It's scintillating synth build up evokes 80s Electro. It leads into bursting melodic bass infused breakbeat, complete with big drops.

Both tracks are the unique, warm and most important: different, showcasing the huge amount of talent and variation in the production skills of Smash HiFi. Instant Vibes welcomes them to the family and is proud to be the home to their new EP, no wonder both tracks have already been licensed to two forthcoming motion pictures!

ANDRE CROM (OFF Recordings founder and head honcho) and CHI THANH have built an undeniable studio relationship. Their productions continually turn heads and more importantly, move feet. The pair’s latest provide further evidence – two tracks that sound glorious when played loud and work wonders on the dancefloor.

The lead track, “Black Rain” is an example of how sexy the underground can be. It subtly builds momentum through the course of the tune via tight synth work and a bassline worth holding on to. The b-side is equally sexy, albeit much darker, harnessing the prowess of techno in an underground house tune for late night adventures.

Jake Stanford ( Dj ) and Jake Osei-Tutu ( Drummer ) are Birmingham based Breakbeat duo Ying n Yang. The 2 Jakes joined forces 18 months ago. Jake ( Dj ) is the main man you will see out playing at nights but if Ying n Yang are booked for a live gig along comes Jake ( Drummer ) with his drumkit and adds a certain extra wallop! It kind of like a battle, decks vs drums. The winner of the battle being the punters who get to stomp along to the crazyness that is caused by their want to leave it all on the line.

The 2 Jakes also have a night in Birmingham called Eargasm where the likes of A-Skillz, Mafia Kiss, Pimpsoul, Breaksjunky and Se7en Deadly Breaks have all rocked up to do their thing. The night has taken a bit of a back burner as the music work has taken a lead roll but having spoke to Jake Stanford there maybe some plans in the pipeline to rock Birmingham once again!

The track above is some solo work from Jake ( Dj ). A grimey bass filled Breaks track with a Lil Kim sample added for extra flavour and it’s yours now for free. What are you waiting for!

Recently being signed to Utah Saints label Sugarbeat Ying n Yang have an upcoming ep that is due for release on the 19th May called The Rising Monkey. One not to be missed! Leeroy spent more than half of his life as a member of band The Prodigy before leaving to pursue a successful solo career as a DJ. Marten had been touring the world as a DJ and producer – hailed as the “future of breakbeat” by DJ Mag. Recently being nominated for no less than five awards at this years Breakspoll.

Both being friends for a long time and sharing a love for bass music and vintage analog equipment they started to craft their own sound somewhere between breaks, bass, funk, hip-hop & jungle. After remixing the likes of Micky Finn, Westbam, Victory Pill and Krafty Kuts their new Feel It EP is set to be the latest release from Instant Vibes. Preview below and grab it on Beatport.

The title track hovers somewhere between ghetto funk, glitch, and moombah. This mid-tempo number stomps out big bass lines that cut through some funky, soul vocals.

The b-side on the EP is a chunky breaks number that’s equally rolling and choppy. Here’s a huge track, electric with energy and a build/breakdown for serious dancefloor frenzy.
