All good things come to an end friends, but it sure is with a little sadness that I share with You
the news that Bombastic Jam will cease to exist as a label.

A true work of love, over the years Bombastic Jam has brought together artists from all over the world with quality releases, unique collaborations and a keen ear for the freshest sounds in the business: from dance floor fillers to hammock chillers Bombastic Jam has proudly and consistently delivered entertainment to your ears.

But often love and passion are not enough to keep projects alive and to find motivation becomes a little trickier over time, especially as I find my hands quite full with Basement Freaks.

I realized something had to give and Bombastic Jam was that something.

Nothing but good old fashioned pride for a project that might be coming to its end but that has united funk lovers from all over the globe under one shaking roof and big big ups to all the artists that have chosen and supported Bombastic as a platform for their music and to all of you for supporting our artists and buying our music.

While bombastic Jam will be no longer, the music will still be available for your listening pleasure; but do take the time to connect directly with each of your favorite artists via social media and find out what they have been cooking in the studio.

The end of something, even of something we had learned to love, also means more energy, more focus and more passion going towards other projects:

At 3:45am on Monday morning at Glastonbury 2014  B-Side  and Sammy Senior fell through the door of Pluto’s Bazaar in Shangri-la ready  to smash out their last set of the festival back to back.

Bertie Dastard from the Free Breaks Blog has once again found a gem of a mix in his never ending collection of music. This mix from Soul of Man is from way back in 1999 !

U.K.-based DJ/production duo Soul of Man were at the forefront of the late-’90s breakbeat uprising, founding the seminal label Finger Lickin’ Records, which would release music by leading breakbeat acts such as Krafty Kuts, Lee Coombs, and Plump DJs. Soul of Man are comprised of Jem Panufnik and Justin Rushmore, who founded Finger Lickin’ Records in 1998. Based in Camden, England, the label’s office also functions as a record shop, café, and bar known as Vinyl Addiction/Bar Vinyl, where DJs spin nightly. Panufnik and Rushmore inaugurated Finger Lickin’ Records with the debut Soul of Man 12″ EP release, Love & Hate, in 1998, followed later in the year by another Soul of Man EP, Between the Eyes. In 1999 they made their DJ mix album debut as Soul of Man with Breakthru, Vol. 1: Revelation on the short-lived label Sixty Degrees North Records.
