Passenger Records brings you the fifth installment of Breakbeat Bass, compiled & mixed by Eat Rave.

This time around the pressure is piled on by new names to the Pasenger stable such as Zombie Robot, RadioKillaz & Ellis Dee, along with established favourites like Aquasky, Rico Tubbs (& Infekto) & 601, plus a few special guest appearances from El Hornet, kutski, Pyramid & Eat Rave himself on the exclusive edits.

The compilation weighs in at 28 tracks deep and spans the Bass spectrum from Breaks to D&B and everything in between.

For this exclusive sampler, the label have compiled a few of the albums highlights for you.

First up we have an exclusive Eat Rave 140 edit, Aquasky & Sporty-O 'Listen Control'. The Riddim Fruit team are back with the 2nd part of their Remix The Version EP and this time call upon BadboE & Funkanomics to add some remix magic to 2 of their favourite bangers from Dephicit & Shimi Sonic. Out now – Exclusive to Juno Download.

Reviews:

Welcome to Riddim Fruit’s latest crop yield which is this, Dephicit and Shimi Sonic remixed by Badboe and Funkanomics though not in that order. It’s actually Badboe who goes first and he gets his hands on Shimi Sonic’s Hot Peach. And filthy is the direction he goes in, making the beat bigger and adding some low end synth action. Funkanomics on the other hand fondle the glitchy broken beat of Dephicit’s No Rules and push sleazily in the direction of late 80s Depeche Mode. Well, it is called No Rules.

This is the second instalment of Riddim Fruit’s new compilation series, Remix The Version, that see choice cuts from their vaults get reworked by others on their roster. First up is Shimi Sonic’s “Hot Peach”, which gets tackled by BadboE resulting in some serious early ’90s vibing breaky world-hop. Next up Dephicit’s “No Rules” is turned into a killer digital dubby Trap/R&B hybrid.

On my hunt for a track for this weeks Throwback Thursday I stumbled across not one but two absolute beauties from Far Too Loud. Truth is I just could not decide which one to share with you so as it’s nearly the weekend I thought it only fair to share both and get you all doubly excited for the weekend with an onslaught of Electro House. The two tracks are both remixes and they are of The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers.

If banging Electro House is your thing then get stuck into Far Too Loud’s extensive back catalogue on his Soundcloud page.

Enjoy these tracks and remember, the weekend is only a day away!

The second taster for Toronto Is Broken’s imminent ‘Section Nine’ LP flips the switch with a superbly constructed and utterly filthy slice of Glitch Hop, baton down those hatches, head for the nearest bunker because this is a bass explosion of 50 megaton proportions!!!! On remix duties, 601 serve up a murderous beast of a 140 remix while Naaive & INF1N1TE bring the DnB & Drumstep vibes that punch like Mike Tyson!!!!  Roughmath round things up with a brutal dubstep re rub, Also included in the soundcloud set below is a bonus free track, a tasty colab between TIB & Naaive, this’ll knock your socks off!!!
