I first caught Dj Sweetpea playing at a Stanton Sessions night in London and after hearing her name you might be forgiven that the music may be nice and airy but oh no! Despite playing 5am till 6am she totally smashed out a high quality and massive sounding Drum and Bass set it and had the dancefloor packed for that final and sometimes long last hour of the night. If you had of walked into the club you would have thought the night was a couple of hours old such was the energy on offer.

Dj Sweepea is a Drum and Bass junkie through and through and Drum and Basics figured it would be a great idea to get her in for an interview which you can read HERE and also a guest mix and what a mix it is! Crisp, clean D n B with a dark undertone featuring new and unreleased tracks. Proper little cracker this one!

Time to kick off this weeks Throwback Thursday proceedings with an epic Breaks remix that is an all time favourite of mine and it comes from Progressive Breaks stalwart, Bobalino. The track itself, a remix of Mark Ronson’s ‘ Record Collecection ‘ was posted a couple of years ago and was greeted with much high praise and when you hear the breakdown you will see why. Heavenly may be the best way to describe it! Despite that it is quite a dancfloor banger and one for the record collection, pardon the pun!

Bobalino is also head honcho at Break Wind Productions who have everything on offer in the world of Breakbeat from Psy, Progressive, Tech, Minimal and Booty. Lots to listen to and lots to dance to, have fun!
