Live recording of the legendary Prodigy from way back in 1994. Tearing through some of their biggest tracks they rip up Brightons Zap club.

Currently finishing off a new album Liam Howlett has revealed a few details about the new LP. The crazed frontman described the record as “pure violent energy.” He also teased fans with a few track names, like Beyond The Death Ray, Nasty Nasty, Wall Of Death and Rottweiler.

Speaking about the state of current music, Howlett said that “dance music across all types has become formula-based…It’s “Here’s your drum fill, here’s your build.” All that DJ bollocks and tutorials on YouTube shit. This album is totally organic.”
The album currently has no title or release date, although it’s expected at some point next year. It will be The Prodigy’s first LP since 2009’s Invaders Must Die.

Enjoy this classic recording while you wait.

Ephemerals Drop there new Single

"You Made Us Change "

On 011214 via Jalapino Records

AOTOA Get there hands on it and Give it

A slo mo Bassy work out

Get on it , Its Free

Ephemerals continue their unstoppable ascent with the incredible single You Made Us Change.

One of the highlights from their Nothin Is Easy album, single You Made Us Change is the sound of young British soul king Hillman Mondegreen meeting the raw power of ephemerals NY vocalist Wolfgang Valbrun. The songwriting and the delivery combine to make it one of the most emotive soul records of the year.

The entire Nothin Is Easy album was recorded live to tape in 3 days at London’s cowshed studio and the incredible urgency of that soul soaked session is immediately apparent.

Little wonder Blue & Soul described it as “essential listening” and Uncut as “eminently listenable”.

Remixes on the single come from Dutch disco house stalwart NSFW who pitches the vocals down and lays them over a pounding bass groove. Ephemerals label mate AOTOA delivers an atmospheric double time dub workout and finally mid tempo electronica remix courtesy of Antenna Happy.

Out now on digital EP exclusive on Juno Download:
http://www.junodownload.com/products/tosses-stone-ep/2622857-02/

Available on Beatport Friday Nov 14th!

Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is back to introduce a solo EP by Alessandro Tosses aka Tosses from Italy. Tosses is known for he part in the dynamic duo Tosses & Varvez who has been destroying dancefloors and dropping funky music for a while now.

Tosses is an producer and active DJ with the concept of mixing different styles to create a hybrid sound combining scratching, progressive beats, funky bass and synth. This concept has lead to many releases on lables like Total Vibes, Pig Ball Records, Fat Bird Sounds & Big M Productions.

He is now ready to drop his first solo EP called Stone EP – which shows a very straight up funky approach to doing Ghetto Funk. Its not just all about the bass with Tosses, as be has both feet solid planted in the oldskool funk of James Brown and his funky colleagues.

Stone EP features 4 party rockin’ joints with all the features we love here at BBP: Bangin’ funky beats, solid ghetto funk basslines and some good oldskool funky grooves.

Billy Reeves aka Future Flex is a new and upcoming producer from Brighton. The eagle eyed music lover out there might be able to pick out the connection between ‘ Reeves ‘ and ‘ Brighton ‘ and be able to work out that Billy is indeed the son of the legendary music maker and booty shaker, Krafty Kuts. Although Billy, Future Flex, could have taken the baton of funky Beats and Breaks from his ol’ man he has pitched for a more current House music sound including Deep House with touches of Garage and the increasingly popular Bass music sound.

The track posted is total unadulterated Deep House. Crisp vocals, fluid melodies and throbbing bass, and as a debut track it’s clear to see Future Flex is honing his production skills perefectly and heading in a direction of is own making, along with a little help from dad I’m sure. We here at LSM will be looking forward to hearing more of his work as I’m sure you will.

Abyss has been on a roll lately with tracks on Paranoid Recordings, featuring on the recent Blog To The Old Skool Darkside 2014 Compilation plus a vinyl release, he returns to his own label with a slice of frenetic 92/93 style Hardcore Jungle built around a sample from seminal Sci Fi TV show Star Trek that opens the track in a suitably eerie manner with a gradual progression of layered breaks leading into the main drop, T99 style synths, rolling amens and classic old skool style low end sub bass, another killer tune from the man like Abyss!!!!
