Atomic Drop: Brighton based producers James Anthony and Ken Barrett who together sonically sculpt deep and filthy bass heavy music that fuses all the best elements of dance.

When their latest tracks boomed out of our speakers we knew this next level sound is forward thinking dance music for 21st century party people.

First up is What You Wish, a beautifully crafted track with enigmatic vocals from the super talented MaryMissFairy. Smooth pads lead the way with power yet warm rolling bass and cleverly crafted garage style beats all topped off with MaryMissFairy’s enchanting vocals. A mid set game changer or and end of night classic – you decide.

Next up is Laundry Time that starts off with haunting bells over that unmistakable sound of crackling vinyl. Once again lush pads, forward thinking beats and trance like vocals it’s easy to get lost in this track, and what better place to get lost.

Mystery producers PIRATE JAMS released the second installment of The Jams Voume 2 (on Gutter Gutter) and to be expected it’s another throwback to those heady days of 90s warehouse parties. “Turn It Around” runs through some crisp breaks and housey key stabs, dragging the vibes from two decades ago into a warm pit of modern production. Grab the beatport exclusive here.

On a personal note, I grew up raving in the 90s and all I wanted to do was go to England and find a party where music like this would play. Pirate Jams has some serious nostalgia tied to them but their output is so much more. It’s so good. For real. I find myself a bit of an afficionado for music, if I can admit that and still remain somewhat modest, but this is next level.
