Some huge, bass-heavy sounds from Prizma with his remix of Hyphos track ‘Gang Culture’.  Grab the whole remix EP now from the In:Flux Bandcamp.

Back in November, Hypho crafted a big bass house tune by the name of ‘Gang Culture’ that grabbed the attention of Futuregarage.net on SoundCloud, and was released for free through their website to thousands of followers. The new set of remixes takes the track to the next level with some seriously good reworks from some of the very best in the scene at the minute including 1point5, Prizma and a collaboration for Dr. Oscillator & Dirty Hoodie.

I’ve followed these guys from the start and their earliest releases on Supercharged are still favourites in my collection today. After a hiatus that spanned far to long we welcome the return of bass miester Smithmonger! After moving back to his homeland of Australia for nearly 10 years Smithy has got back on the beats with a brand new single Things You Do.

First up is the 2 Step Mix with its fanatical bass twists, euphoric breakdowns and slamming beats, this version of Things You Do hits hard in the dirty end of the Garage revival with plenty of crossover. Bass monster meets twisted raver.

Next up is Smithmonger’s Breaks Mix which takes a trip back to the good old days of deep and filthy breaks that would sit perfectly in any B.L.I.M. or Evil Nine set. Heads down marching beats, relentless bass lines with just a sprinkle of haunting vocals are order of the day here and we just love it!

Love & Other made huge strides in 2014 and will undoubtedly gain more ground as a label to watch in 2015. With their latest release they introduce a new recruit: London’s MADE BY PETE. The Our Story EP runs four tracks deep, including the original version, a dub, plus two remixes. Check it below and grab the EP from Traxsource.

Normally we’d start with the original but for this post we’re starting with the highlight, which is also a Manalogue premiere. Bristol born producer BEN REMEMBER, kicks it bold and bassy with his techy and garage hybrid. Pitched vocals, shuffling percussion, subtle ravey key stabs, and a rolling bassline build the remix into a monster of a tune.

The original is a soft-stepping house number perfect for sunrise sets and beach parties. Admittingly, the latter would have to be in the southern hemisphere this time of year. The cut combines blissed-out piano scales, stripped back synths and angelic soprano tones, courtesy of established house vocalist, PENNY F.

Made By Pete runs remix duties as well, taking his dub of “Our Story” deeper and darker, satisfying dancefloor cravings. With support from scene heavyweights such as Hannah Wants, Gorgon City, Mark Knight, Claptone, and more, Made By Pete’s dub reconstructs the original into a pounding 4/4 driven stomper.

Italian production duo, NEWBIE NERDZ cranks a bouncing bass riff into “Our Story,” taking the tune deeper into the underground, all the while maintaining the original’s pop-ish sensibilities.
