Judging by the many reports I’ve seen, this years Leopallooza festival in North Cornwall was one very amazing weekend. I didn’t go unfortunately, but the lineup for the ‘Temple Of Boom’ stage in particular, really made me wish I had! The huge lineup featured many regulars to the LSM ward from the Ghetto Funk scene, two of those being, Mr Rich and the Caretaker.

For those turning up to see the duo play, they would have every right to think they would be catching a Ghetto Funk/Funky Breaks set but oh no, not this time around. Mr Rich and the Caretaker gave the temple it’s boom with a 70 minute set that’s rammed full of filthy bass with Swing and Funk woven in throughout. I’m everyone’s bass faces were on full show for this set, so why not give yours a run out by hitting that play button!

Canadian heavyweights, Smalltown DJs and Fort Knox Five, have teamed up to release this super catchy and extremely uplifting remix of Father John Misty‘s ‘Real Love Baby’ for free, to celebrate Shambhala’s 20th birthday and to also celebrate 1 million plays on Soundcloud for Smalltown DJs. We welcome one of Australia’s top funky beat makers back on the ward, Kibosh. Last time he was here was when we featured his ‘Back N Forth’ EP that was dropped on Scour Records. This visit though he’s delivering us his latest offering, the glitchy Ghetto Funk slammer ‘Funk Snob’. It’s kickin’ hard but at the same time carrying an air of sophistication. It’s a great fusion of styles that definitely warrants your attention! Get the party started with this party starter.

Judging by their posts on their social media accounts, TWOGOOD are having an absolute blast this summer. With a number of festivals already under their belts, fans new and old have been singing the duo’s praises because of sets they’ve laid down. It was at one of the festivals where they met up with our good friends at Scour Records and after some serious partying together, the decision was made to work together and the result is the release of this turbo charged slice of Disco as part of Scour’s ‘Freemix’ series. There’s plenty of great combinations in this world and TWOGOOD and Scour Records is another one to add to the list!

Aired around the time that he was promoting his new album called Freakshow and touring with the Parklife Festival, Krafty Kuts dropped an exclusive mix for Triple J Radio Australia back in September 2006 with tracks off this album plus a smorgasbord of upfront tunes that were doing the rounds at that time. Originally recorded by BBC Radio 1 UK and aired on the Annie Nightingale show back in 2006 this mix showcases the diversity of well known DJ’s Krafty Kuts & A Skillz. Their back to back LIVE DJ sets have become legendary and this one is no exception, recorded at the One World Snowbombing Special 2006 in a unique environment basically on top of a mountain playing all the tracks we love and know. Fat! has since progressed onto releasing some of the finest House, techno and pop infused dance music in the past decade, but its former years will always have a special place in the hearts and minds of many.

Before the Punks Music crew descended on the Glastonbury Festival 2017 for 2 energetic takeovers, they were asked to provide mixes for their prestigious on-site radio station, Worthy FM.
