For those of you who might have missed it, Slynk, has been getting down to business with his talkbox setup and has a number of videos of him performing with it on his YouTube channel. If you think you recognise the name ‘talkbox’, it is that thing where you put the plastic tube in your mouth which makes your voice go weird. Clearly, there”s more to it than that but hey, lets leave that to someone who knows more about it. I’m here to bring you music and that’s exactly what I have here with Slynk’s new Disco influenced tune ‘Disco Operator’, that features his talkbox skills and a serious amount of funk and groove. Don’t hang up on this one!

For any old skool gamer’s out there, Overseer, is a producer who if you don’t know by name, you’ll definitely know him from the music he’s made. He’s had music featured on games such as Gran Turismo 3, Need For Speed Underground, Ridge Race Unbound, NFL Gameday 2004 and SSX 3.

It’s the latter of those, SSX 3, where his fierce Big Beat track ‘Screw Up’ can be found and it’s a track that is liked immensely by Russian Breaks producer, Davip. He likes it so much, he wanted to put a personnel touch to it, so he got down to work and came up with this heavy hitting remix that has the rock element from the original dialled up to the max. Prepare for complaints from the neighbours because you’ll definitely be getting some once you realise this needs to be played loud!

Solotek has had the Drum n Bass wing of the ward under his spell several times with his stunning liquid vibes and he’s back at it again with his new free 5 track EP ‘Childhood Thing’. The first two tracks on the EP ‘Childhood Thing’ and ‘Same Groove’ both offer that warm golden glow and easy going flow that he always builds into his music. The next track ‘Some People’ sees Solotek take an unexpected diversion and lays down some serious Jungle vibes. The last two tracks ‘Things We Do’ and ‘Players Play’ both have the sublime touches from the first two tracks but kick a bit harder. Top stuff as always from, Solotek.

Maxine Garman is a lady who is on the rise in the House music scene. Her debut release, a remix of ‘Closer Than Close’ by, Rosie Gains, was picked up early doors by the likes of Rinse FM and KISS FM, who couldn’t wait to send it through the airwaves and rightly so to. Since then, Maxine has had a full diary of gigs and has set to work full steam ahead in the studio.

Maxine has also attracted the attentions of, Data Transmission, who sent out an invite for her to feature in their ‘Spotlight Mix’ series. Maxine happily replied with a yes and sent over this incredibly classy one hour Tech House mix. It’s very clear that this is a lady who not only knows her music, but one that also knows how to piece it together tune by tune to create a journey you never want to end. Lapsus Music’ latest release,  Sante Sansone’s ‘Street Stuff EP’ has all the hallmarks of a trendsetter for 2017.

We’re off to a potent preamble with the quirky samples and momentous bassline of ‘Take Off’. Pulsating drums and a vocal ode to the great producers of the past give a classy distinction to ‘Lost’. The sweet cinematic lead on ‘Set Me Free’ makes for a contender for 2017’s answer to ‘American Dream’ (for those who know!).

This leaves the title track, our absolute stone cold favourite on this EP. Shades of the Simma Black sound on this chunky banger complete with scratch/Hip Hop samples and pumping beats to indeed rock the house!!!!
