Thunderball – Declassified: Remixes
‘Declassified: Remixes‘ is the outstanding new album from Fort Knox Five’s alter ego, Thunderball. It was during the transitional phase that saw Thunderball return to Fort Knox Recordings from Thievery Corporation‘s legendary label, ESL Music, when the guys unearthed a hidden treasure trove of remixes of their music that were created from 1997 to 2007. Now, as any electronic music fan will know, that particular 10 year period gave birth to some of the best music ever made and the 14 remixes that have been handpicked and remastered for this new album fit into that category with ease.
You can expect to hear sublime Downtempo, Dub, Reggae and Trip Hop inspired cuts that’ll switch you into horizontal mode and have transported to a place of tranquillity, as well as party-popping Breaks, House, Nu-Disco and Drum n Bass tunes that’ll have you wearing a hole in the floor from all the dancing you’re gonna do. Remixes come from Thievery Corporation, Fort Knox Five, Chris Joss, Bombay Dub Orchestra, JonH And Rascal, Boca 45, Ursula 1000, Desmond Williams, Q-Burns Abstract Message, Avatars Of Dub and Nicola Conte, which is a mighty lineup of talent I’m sure you’ll agree. Amazing music, amazing artists, that make up what will easily be one of the albums of the year!
