Your daily source of breakbeat, dubstep, electro swing, ghetto funk music.

There is some good techno/techfunk/breaks (whatever you want to call it) coming out of Russia with Yreane and Tom Clyde leading the charge. Released on Census Sound Recordings, in my opinion one of the best labels around, producing techy tracks and in fact a whole variety of music from dubby tech to progressive, the label has being going from strength to strength recently with a strong roster of artists who are releasing top quality tunes like this. On this track (part of a two track release) Tom Clyde is joined by his fellow Russian OneWay (AKA Ivan Merkulov) to produce this rolling tech funk monster. The track builds from a very funky rhythm reminiscent of Meat Katie to break with a dirty heavy bass line that brings to mind Hedflux all the while there’s a very squelchy synth keeping the interest along with various distorted vocals. This is very much one for a good dark late night club and when that second break kicks in the dancefloor will go wild (this is offered purely as read and no guarantee of ensuing mayhem is implied – but you’ll certainly find me doing just that).
