Extra Medium – Size Up EP

Scour Records are back once again with another EP of fruity awesomeness! ‘ Size Up ‘ is the new 5 track EP from the vintage loving, Extra Medium. A dude who loves nothing more than digging around in 1920’s – 1950’s music to find hidden gems, to then be up-cycled into swinging bass filled beauties! Of course, where there’s remixed music, they’ll be original work to.

‘ Size Up ‘ kicks of in vigorous, bass heavy style with the opening track ‘ Blues Boogie Bass ‘ which then leads us into the second and title track of the EP, ‘ Size Up ‘. A more traditional Swing influenced track with a collaboration with the four time ‘ World DMC Champion ‘, Mr Switch and the silky saxy skills of, Cab Canavaral. The third track ‘ Go Away ‘ has more of a House related foundation to but packs a hefty bass punch and plenty of horns! ‘ Lazy Bones ‘ is next in line and offers a gentler approach that’s rich in piano and laid back vibes. Rounding off the EP is a bonus freebie ‘ Swinggae ‘ that sees, Extra Medium, team up with Mr Switch and Cab Caranaval once again for another bass driven swing-a-thon!
