LSM’s 10 Mixes For The Weekend
It’s time for another selection of hand picked mixes to see you into the weekend and beyond. Again there’s something for everyone here spanning genres like Disco, Jazz Funk, Deep and Tech House, Techno, Bass, Breaks and Drum n Bass. The mixes this week come from Ben Jay, Mr Scruff, Ettica, Sonny Wharton, Iva, Qdup, Wes Smith, Breaksjunky, Adam Freeland and Bachelors Of Science so lets get things underway…
A mix that is full of recognisable tunes except all of them have been given a lick of Disco flavour. Ben Jay gives us a mix that is a perfect way to kick off a weekend with party tunes a plenty! Awesome work! Get the tracklist HERE.
Mr Scruff got invited over to Rotterdam to play at, Bird. It’s a typical eclectic mix of Jazzy Funk beats from Mr Scruff and with it being five and a half hours long there’s plenty of music to feast upon. Get the download HERE and get stuck in!
Lush Techno and Tech House sounds from Ettica. He’s hand picked a fine selection of tracks that are working for him right now and this mix also features a new remix that is out very soon by himself. If Tech House sis your kind of thing then this is a guy you should really be checking out! Tracklist HERE.
Another one of the biggest and best podcasts around comes from, 1605 Music Therapy. They present to you Sonny Wharton who brings us another fine helping of Techno and Tech House. Very summery and very lovely! Tracklist HERE.
Iva is an emerging talent in the current Bass music scene. Boasting some pretty stunning work of his own he puts together this Bass driven mix with a Garage / 2step flow consisting of tracks he’s feeling currently. It’s bloody good too!
Qdup delivers a promo mix full of funk ahead of the ‘ 2015 DC Funk Parade ‘. The mix features some public service announcements about the event but it doesn’t detract from the listening experience and in fact they sit in there quite nicely. Qdup also features a brand new track that’s forthcoming on Fort Knox Recordings. Top funk filled sounds! Tracklist HERE.
California’s very own ray of sunshine, Wes Smith, is the latest artist to be invited onto Lady Waks ‘ In Da Mix ‘ radio show. Breakbeat business all the way with a touch of the UK Bass sound and some Cali Funk thrown in for good measure. Big tuneage!
Manchester’s very own, Breaksjunky, was invited out to the Miami Winter Music Conference just over a month ago and to say he was ecstatic would be an understatement! In true Breaksjunky style he laid the smack down with one of his highly energetic Breaks n Bass sets which was recorded for the ‘ Galaxy Music Gathering 4 ‘ event. Tracklist HERE.
What a pleasure it is to be posting a mix by, Adam Freeland. This mix is a magic carpet ride of twisted and spaced out Electronic sounds and beats that just takes you out there, right out there! Incredibly stunning track selection which you can find HERE.
The Bachelors Of Science have assembled a crisp as you like Drum n Bass promo mix saturated with Soul ahead of playing at, Fabric, in room 2 next Friday, 24th April alongside LTJ Bukem, Marcus Intalex and Doc Scott. With a teaser of sublime tracks in this mix and a lineup like that you can be sure it’s going to be one hell of a night! Get tickets for the event HERE.
