Bombstrikes Takeover
The Bombstrikes label are celebrating their 10th year in the game this year and are continuing the party over at Juno Download. For a very limited time you can grab all kinds of goodies for free and hugely discounted.
Bombstrikes have worked very hard for it but can easily be described as THE best label for funky, mid tempo bass music around. Starting things off way back in 2004 with Beat Vandals classic mashup ep Volume 1, things really kicked off for the label with Mooqee’s Volume 2 and the DJ Shadow sampling “Funk Machine Man”
This track was picked up by every turntablist, DJ, music nut on the planet and was hammered by the likes of Mixmaster Mike, Krafty Kuts, A Skillz and many, many more.
After that the labels place was pretty much cemented with more and more fans getting involved with every release. After several tracks and ep’s from the label owners they started to draft in the very best artists around to release banger after banger. Tracks from A Skillz, Nick Thayer, Featurecast, Qdup Foundation and Ali B spread that funky goodness afar and then looking to the future they signed up more talent with Pimpsoul, Bryx, Herbgrinder, Neon Steve and more joining the camp to fully nail their place as the best.
This week you can grab a special VIP of Mooqee & Herbgrinder’s “Sound Around Town” from Juno for free and whilst doing so be entered into a special competition to win the entire Bombstrikes back catalogue. That’s a lot of dancefloor ammunition right there. Click on the player below.
Also whilst you’re there you can pick up two specially reduced bundles from the label. First off “Party Classics”
And secondly “Future Bombs”
Just in case some of the awesome sounds had slipped your mind then check out the killer, 10 years in 10 minutes mix Mooqee and Beat Vandals put together earlier in the year.
So head over to Juno Download for all this and more and be sure to get involved with Bombstrikes via Facebook, Twitter and Youtube for all future music related news.
