Electro Swing Roundup

Hey hey hey! It’s DJR here with another roundup of all the best things happening in the world of vintage beats along with the odd dollop of balkan, world music, jazz and whatever else I can find to rock your world! Big shout out to Birmingham’s Hot Club De Swing where I had a great time last weekend playing alongside The Electric Swing Circus, Captain and C@ In The H@.

Free Music Sammy Senior’s new swing track Bounce accidentally missed the cut last time, however should be a must for any ghetto swing DJ. I road-tested it on Friday night and it went down a storm. The rest of the EP is more straight up ghetto funk.

Rather enjoying this freebie from Skeewiff on a Cumbia tip. Great stuff.

I ran into Basschimp at Nozstock in the summer and told him to drop me some stuff. He’s now come up with this swing house track featuring the sounds of Disney which is available for free from his facebook along with a few other tracks.

Caro Emerald has rather nicely given away an Acoustic EP is accompany her recent album which you can download for free from here.

New Releases Defunk – Welcome To Groove City Defunk has been one of the most consistent producers out there recently putting out all sorts of interesting bass, blues and swing tinged productions. It’s great to see that he’s now finished his first album which you can hear below. It’s available from October 8th on Juno.

Jamie Berry – Swing It EP Jamie Berry has been putting out some great releases recently successfully mixing the swing sound with a really strong dance floor focussed house sound. This EP doesn’t disappoint either and offers five great slices of swing house goodness. Available from beatport.

Swahn – Swing House Swahn has produced an EP of some of his recent productions which is out now on Chocolat Soul Records. Available from traxsource.
