D-Funk -'Step To My Beat

D-Funk has been deeply immersed in the global music scene for well over the past decade as a DJ, producer, label owner and former promoter. Still seen as a new name to some, he has amassed an impressive back catalogue of releases and performances having released over 50 tracks across 19 different labels & played events in UK and across Europe, Asia & Australia.

His latest offering is a 3 track Breakbeat EP entitled ‘Step To My Beat’ on his very own Upstart Music, a raw and energetic journey into the world of breaks and bass.

First up is ‘You Think We’re Stupid’ which heads straight to the dance floor in a heads down 4am banger style with its classic breakbeats and a finely honed bass line. Next up is ‘In The Front’ which mixes Prodigy style riffs with jumping beats and with the infectious ‘are you ready’ vocal the energy and vibes on this one are at 100% all the way. Finishing off this EP is ‘Chickens In The Truck’ a no-nonsense groover reminiscent of the classic days of Marine Parade breaks.
