Anna Sun – Walk The Moon – Bella Beats Mix
Known for pushing the envelope in the Breaks scene American dj / producer, Bella, hit’s us with a remix of truly epic proportions! The original track drops into the Indie Pop bracket but Bella gives it a staggering cinematic Breaks remix. It’s like one of those tracks you hear in a film like The Matrix when it’s all kicking off. Massive waves of Bass as is Bella’s usual style and it’s one to give those goosebumps a work out for sure! Truly exhilarating!

Benny Benassi – Satisfaction (Takao Remix)
Takao are two dudes that bring influences from the UK and France to their music. Here they have taken Benny Benassi’s hit single ‘ Satisfaction ‘ and smoothed the whole track out with a really nice Deep House remix. The remix takes on more of a flow with a deeper bassline and lower tempo but still keeps a steady energy. Nice work indeed!

Urban Shakedown – Some Justice – Wax Worx Re-Worx
Urban Shakedown’s 1992 hit ‘
‘ comes in for a classy re-work from Wax Worx. The original was made back in the day on 2 Amiga 500 computers but Wax Worx has given it a more modern sound. As he likes to do with his re-works the essence of the original is still there in all it’s glory with newer bass and beats to make it shine once again. Excellent work!

Queen of Sheba Music Video & Free Download from See-I
“Queen of Sheba”
featuring Edy Blu
by SEE-I
www.see-i.com
Fort Knox Recordings (2014)
FREE DOWNLOAD HERE:
The Queen of Sheba was rumored to be one of the most beautiful and powerful women in ancient history when King Solomon married the Abyssinian ruler. Whether this legend is true or not does not matter anymore, as See-I has produced an amazing music video, which captures the essence of this mythic beauty. The track “Queen of Sheba”, released on Fort Knox Recordings, is from See-I’s 2014 album, Knowledge Shine Bright and features local chanteuse Edy Blu on vocals alongside with See-I’s front men Rootz and Zeebo Steele.
Directed by Bryan Eckerson, the music video was shot and produced on various locations throughout the Washington, DC area. Included in the video are scenes of See-I at the Eighteenth Street Lounge, where the band has performed each and every Wednesday night since early 2006. In fact, it was in the now defunct recording studio at the Eighteenth Street Lounge where Eric Hilton and Rob Garza first enlisted Rootz and Zeebo as vocalists when they created the world famous downtempo super groupThievery Corporation.
Edy Blu is no stranger to the See-I massive, having performed with the band as one of the opening singers for several years now, and also recorded the hit track “Queen of Sheba” earlier this year. Edy Blu brings natural style and grace to her vocals on the track and to this luscious music video, which blends nature, reggae and beauty together in an ethereal vibe. See-I has always been a family affair, and Zeebo’s son Salem Steele was the main production force behind this solid track. See-I guitarist Rob Myers (who also plays with Fort Knox Five and Thievery Corporation) design the title and credit graphics for the video. Always important to the See-I massive is the importance of fun and uplifting music, which elevates the listener to a higher level, and this track has an added level of cultural references, as Zeebo says, “It’s the Queen of Sheba from the storybooks…”

The Armory Podcast - 071 - Nixon (Punks)
Nixon - Episode 071 by The Armory Podcast on Mixcloud
This week in The Armory we're thrilled to have the latest addition to the Stanton Warriors' Punks label, Nixon, on the 1s and 2s.
Check out Nixon's gorgeous, debut EP on Punks entitled "The Basics of Love" at:
www.beatport.com/release/the-basi…-love-ep/1420636
Nixon’s been mixing since before he first stood on a snowboard over 20 years ago. Being a pro-rider on the European snowboard scene for over 15 years opened up a huge freesport audience to his mixing talents and he’s been a regular at massive surf & snowboard events for years.
It comes as no surprise then to this crowd, that Nixon is receiving respective accolades on the London scene for his musical talents.
A random meeting with Justin Rushmore of FLR whilst snowboarding led to a move to London in 06 and to a new addiction – producing. His 2007 collaborations with D&B golden boy, Shimon, took the scene by surprise, with clubbers loving the heavily influenced D & B breaks - a fresh vibe in an increasingly jaded breaks scene. With three releases under the FLR wing, ‘I Like You’ received rave reviews, receiving regular airplay on both Annie Nightingale BBC and Kiss FM’s Jay Cunnings show. The second release “White Noise” went to No 13 in the DMC Buzz Charts, and ‘Around the Edge’, charged to No 1 in the Beatport Breaks chart.
Whilst Nixon’s background was rooted firmly in thrash and drum & bass, his DJ style today, is a blend of tight break necking beats, topped off with deep gut rumbling bass.
Engineering his own solo tunes, it’s a hard life dividing his time between snowboarding, and his recording in the studio! His strong self-expression of snowboarding is clearly continued onto the decks & is a lifestyle balance most DJs would kill for. The Mixologists, Aquasky, Tayo, Darren Jay, Davide Carbone, MC Chickaboo, Utah Jazz, the list is endless - have graced the decks with Nixon.
Now billed as the UK’s top pro-DJ/music producer and professional snowboarder, from his debut at London's superclubs - Fabric & Ministry of Sound, he’s now a regular on the underground club scene & plays a host of international festivals including the legendary Snowbombing.
Moving forward, Nixon has stretched out his knowledge of quality music, composing music for UK computer games giant Codemasters and their Dirt 3 & 4 games. Top brands such as CASIO, QUIKSILVER, MONSTER, NIKE, SHARP have endorsed and used Nixon beats & sound design for their Global Marketing Campaigns. This in turn has opened doors to remix works by global sensation Ben Howard & upcoming acts such as A Girl Called Ruth & Ryan Keen. Stepping from clubland to culinary, he also produces music for Jamie Oliver's DJ BBQ and to movies with CGI giants, the Foundry.
Now signed to the world famous renegades of beats & bass, the Stanton Warriors Punks label with his newly released The Basic Of Love Ep includes the tearing remix of LTJ Bukems classic club anthem Atlantis.
