Ctrl Z pronounced Control Z were a UK duo consisting of Tommy Dash and Nicky ‘Inch’ D’Silva as it’s members. Well known in the early days of Nu Skool Breaks of producing high tempo hardcore tear out breakbeat they had over 50 releases on well respected labels of the time. Labels such as Against the Grain, Lot49, Botchit & Scarper, Passenger, Functional, Rat Records and Hardcore Beats.

This mix from Australia’s Triple J Radio from 2010 was personally ripped/downloaded by me and is a great memory of what Ctrl Z was up too music wise at that time.

DJ Chronic and Danks make up the duo that is Blazin Broz. Purveyors is every beat that is broken the Blazin Broz have dedicated their newest mix for a lost brother, Jim Landis. RIP Jim.

Lanx and Nick Slater, aka the Drumattic Twins, have been a leading force in dance music since they first began touring over 20 years ago. Making their name as Shades of Rhythm, they ruled the early nineties rave scene with legendary anthems ‘Sweet Sensation’, ‘Sound of Eden’, ‘Extacy’ and ‘Homicide’ and performed with the likes of The Prodigy and N-Joi.

Since rebranding themselves as the Drumattic Twins in 1997, Nick and Lanx quickly replicated this global notoriety thanks to the massive hit tracks ‘Feelin Kinda Strange’ ‘Twister’ and ‘HyperSpeed’. They teamed up with the legendary release platform Finger Lickin Records in 1999 and settled quickly into the close-knit world of the breakbeat scene, working alongside global acts such as Plump DJs, Soul of Man and Lee Coombs.

From a string of releases from 1999 starting with top the selling “Feeling Kinda Strange” till late 2013 with their “Get Up and Dance EP” on Sugarbeat Records and 2 full length albums in between the Drumattic Twins have laid down a variety of music that have influenced the Breaks Scene and shaped it in to what it is today.

Bring you the best in all types of Breaks music from 2017 be it remixes or originals the Break Tech Show on NSB Radio have digged deep through their crates from last year gathering some great tunes that made the grade to be included in the show. From the more type of Progressive sounds to simple Bass & Breaks sounds to straight up Breaks this is a great show and one not to be missed.

ILS known as Illian Walker started his music production career on LTJ Bukem’s drum & bass label Good Looking Records under the name of Axis. In 2002 he was picked up by Adam Freeland’s label Marine Parade due to his unique style of producing breakbeat music. In the same year he released his acclaimed album Soul Trader (through Marine Parade) with his top hit of that time “6 Space (Next Level)”.

This rare mix from the Annie on 1 (Annie Nightingale) show is a showcase of tracks that he has produced.

Hitting the top of the charts with his release of his “Big Night EP” on Juice Recordings UK’s Beat-Breaker drops an essential Bass bomb of a mixtape in promotional of the release. Both tracks are featured in the mix as well as some popular bass laden breakbeat tunes.
