One of my favourite mixes of the year would have to be with no doubt Stickybuds LIVE set from the Fractal Forest at the Shambala Music Festival. Since signing exclusively with Viper Recordings in April, Austria’s Dossa & Locuzzed have been enjoying some serious recognition as one of the industry’s hottest new drum and bass duos. With their debut single ‘Only Way / Electric Boogie’ released back in May on Viper’s sister label Viper VIP to tumultuous praise, the talented producers have been hitting the scene hard in 2016. Teddy Killerz are the next to step up to remix Formula EJ’s Take Control Of Me. So far we’ve heard remixes from Vion Konger and Alex Preston. Now it’s the Russian trio’s turn to give the track a 174bpm makeover.

EJ met these international artists over his prolific travels, and is excited to working with them alongside Formula E.

The high-energy remix has gained support from some of Drum & Bass’ heavy hitters with the likes of Optiv, Crissy Criss, Tantrum Desire, and plus more supporting.

We’re as excited as a one eyed dog in a meat factory right now because we’re welcoming The Beat-Pimp (UK) to the LSM team! Based in Sunderland, The Beat-Pimp has been rolling out a number of mixes that have caught our attention on numerous occasions and because they’re heavily laced with Funk, it was a no brainer to send out our trusty carrier pigeon to his home with the invite attached firmly to it. In no time at all the pigeon returned with bells on it and a reply saying ‘YES’. Considered one of the pioneers of the Nu Skool Breaks sound in the years before the year 2000 and an innovative person in trying out new sounds Adam Freeland had many a hit back in the day specially with on his own label Marine Parade with which he promoted other top Breaks acts in the early 2000’s.
