Mike Millrain – Treat Me Right
https://www.traxsource.com/title/775093/treat-me-right
Mike Millrain ‘Treat Me Right’ marks this prestigious artist’s (not to mention top DJ & sound engineer) first solo release for Unique2Rhythm and wouldn’t you guess? It’s an absolute diamond!!!
Mike Millrain has provided mastering and remix services for the label already but it was surely just a matter of time before he treated us to one of his classy productions under the Unique2Rhythm banner. Mike has featured on many of the best labels in today’s House & Garage scene (Unique2Rhythm being one of those top labels) and the reason why is clear. It’s that precision smooth classic garage sound, whether it’s soulful and bumpy- as is the case with ‘Treat Me Right’ or the many other styles this man does so well.
‘Treat Me Right’ takes us back while looking foward, you will think of currently active producers like Grant Nelson & Jeremy Sylvester i.e purveyors of the pure Garage sound that precedes UKG, 2 Step & Grime. The sound can’t be beaten especially when Mr Mike Millrain is at the desk!!!

Pilgrim Talks J-Tek on Kemet FM
Check out this short snippet of an interview on Kemet FM where Joe Nebula talks to Midlands oldskool legend DJ Pilgrim. Pilgrim talks about the J Tek scene back in 2009 and some of its pioneers including Lucas (Top Drawer Digital). Like us, he would love to see/hear a return of that sound. In fact, towards the end of the interview, Pilgrim mentions that he is back pushing the sound again so there is at least hope of a potential revival, lets wait, hope, see and push!!!

Kidson Show ft Junki Munki – Ridge Radio
Junki Munki recently guested on Kidson Show-Ridge Radio, if you don’t know about Junki Munki or have never heard his brilliant shows (with hilarious Frank Bruno impersonations!) on Nu-Rave Radio back in the late 00’s you’re in for a real treat here. Junki Munki was one of the top artists in the Rave Breaks scene, a scene that at its peak was championed by the likes of Slipmatt & Billy Daniel Bunter.
Kidson chats with Junki Munki while listening to some of his productions on various labels and some personal oldskool hardcore faves too, it’s a great show and a nice insight into a scene we would love to see return in a big way!!!

Rose Tinted & Anna Be – Dark Cloud EP
https://www.traxsource.com/title/765482/dark-cloud-ep
London duo Rose Tinted & Anna Be have crafted something extra special with their ‘Dark Cloud EP’ on Detone
We will first make mention of Rose Tinted & Anna Be’s first track on this EP, it’s called ‘Pink Sky’ and we would call it the Sueno Latino of 2017, the likenesses are there-mellow strings with a dreamy ambience-Spanish vocals, this just makes us melt!!!
‘Dark Clouds’ is more your straight up Techno with a proggy edge, a jagged razor’s edge with kicks that don’t spare the speakers and intricate synths that make you want to throw yourself around (which is a good thing!!!). A truly need to own EP from Rose Tinted & Anna Be!!!

Parissior – Let Me (edit)
Spanish producer, Parrissior, started out producing House and Techno, but his musical journey has led him into the worlds of Funk and Disco. He’s had releases on labels such as Spa In Disco, Golden Soul Records and Disco Rebel Recordings, which are all well known for releasing prime cuts only and Parissior has plenty of those!
One of those prime cuts of his is this edit posted of Jimmy ‘Bo’ Horne‘s ‘Let Me’, a track that was sampled by Stereo MC’s back in the day for their tune ‘Connected’.
