Al Pack – D n B Free Downloads
Over the last couple of weeks, Al Pack has been a very busy boy and has released no less than 8 free D n B remixes of some instantly recognisable tunes. I’ve managed to pick out 3 of those remixes which it has to be said, was a task in itself as they’re all so damn fine! N.R.G‘s 1992 classic ‘I Need Your Love‘, Notoriuos B.I.G‘s ‘Big Poppa‘ and Suzanne Vega‘s ‘Tom’s Diner‘ are the 3 stunners I’ve picked out and I’m sure you’re gonna love the infectious energy and cool vibes Al’s packed into this trio of remixes just as much as I do.
To find the other 5 tracks which include remixes of Beats International, Anita Baker, Souls Of Mischief, Big L and Erykah Badu, head to >>> Al’s ‘D&B Remixes’ Soundcloud page.

Stevie R – Penelope EP
https://www.beatport.com/release/penelope/1986130
A lush serving from Spanish Electronica/Dance imprint Parallel Label- Stevie R’s ‘Penelope EP’ is a delicate and tasteful trip into the velvet curtains of the mind’s eye
The original ‘Penelope’ unfolds into a rich Mediterranean psychedelic swim of submerged and sun dried beats and mercurial melodies plus vocal samples of Twin Peaks character ‘The Giant’
The Monkey Brothers take a more conventional but no less enjoyable route with their mixture of Progressive/Tech House sounds used in remixing ‘Penelope’
‘Afolabi’ is a tech-fueled dance into the early hours with strange Gypsy-like vocals. A further dub mix removes the vocals for some Diggers style pumping tribalism. Agent Cooper would definitely brand this ‘Damn fine dance music’

Dilli – Papa Nu Dilli
Certified Jackin’ regular, DJ Dilli just dropped this full phat House refix of FSOL’s ‘Papua New Guinea’
The vibes of this 1992 classic are kept well and truly alive in the shiny casing of chunky 4×4 kicks with a pleasing bounce and funky Techno/Tech House arrangements. The breakbeats of the archetype ‘Papua New Guinea’ are increasingly teased as Dilli’s rerub progresses until we joyously revel in those uplifting keys of old. You can stream this tasty tune below!

SOTO – Botchit Breaks Promo – 16.12.2000
In the early days of Breakzlinkz i once received an email from a lovely lady called Sonia Push asking me to help promote various Breakbeat artists that were clients of hers as she run her own PR music company called Push Promotions. From then on Sonia would send over to me exclusive material including DJ mixes and tracks with which i would help promote by posting on Breakzlinkz, Soundcloud and various music forums from back in the day. Unfortunately and sadly Sonia passed away a few years back so i’m quite proud to still have this promo CD for a tour she did around Australia back in September 2001 with her life partner and DJ/Producer partner Toby. Sonia and Toby make up their artists name SOTO and this mix is a rare Botchit Breaks Promo only CD.

1 BRIGHTON FM – SOUL OF MAN takeover on MAY 4th BE WITH YOU DAY!
A couple of days ago, Soul Of Man took to the airwaves for a 2 hour show on 1 Brighton FM, to celebrate 20 years of Finger Lickin’ and May 4th, Star Wars day. In the show they go back to their Funk roots by handpicking a selection of tunes that went on to play major parts in future Finger Lickin’ releases, which covers the first hour. For the second hour, it’s Finger Lickin’ classics from the golden era of Breakbeat all the way. Get tuned in and be prepared for a stack of high quality music to come your way!
Please note that this is a radio show and not a DJ mix. You will hear the voices of Jem and Justin, but it’s all informative stuff so there’s nowt to worry about.

Beat-Breaker – Free Downloads
Our beat breaking friend, Beat-Breaker, has been busy in the studio cooking up some truly immense music. First up he’s joined forces with fellow Breaks producer, Damn Right and American emcee, BBK, to create and absolute Breakbeat monster with their track ‘Get The Beat Pumping‘. This is huge slab of full on Breaks, complete with huge drops, biblical amounts of bass and the fiery vocal of BBK which gives the tune a real edge.
Beat-Breaker’s second freebie is a re-lick of a tune we’ve already featured here on the ward, that being Pecoe’s remix of The O’Jays ‘For The Love Of Money‘. This time the broken beats are at a midtempo level but fear not, the filth and bass are both still in great abundance! Two heavyweight tunes that’ll provide a double knockout!
Download ‘Get The Beat Pumping’ here via Hypeddit.

Beat-Breaker has also been busy providing audio to a new piece of work by, Phil Buckland. Some of the followers of LSM from back in the day may well remember Phil when he DJ’d under the names, 3 Parts DJ (Breaks) and Buck Fillington (Glitch Hop). It’s all about visual entertainment now for Phil this video is a pretty epic introduction into exactly what he can do.
His video is a coming together of 2 of his loves, Game Of Thrones and Boomtown Fair. His idea was to recreate the GOT intro sequence but using the Boomtown Fair map and layout which, with the uplifting Drum n Bass sounds provided by Beat-Breaker, is something to marvel at.

Yosum Dub- Indostry
https://www.beatport.com/release/indostry/2008448
Techno DJ & producer, Yosum Dub sends out a heatwave with his ‘Indostry EP’ on Reflector Records
‘Zap’ gets the fire fueled up with a feisty Tech House opener to the EP.
‘Muscle Memory’ is the kind of Techno that carries the secret ‘bob your head’ code, you won’t be able to stop your hips gyrating to this fierce slice of dancefloor frenzy
‘Simmer’ aims for the sky with spatial chords almost reminiscent of Underworld that give way for melodic trancey keys. When the floor is packed and you wanna tease ‘em some more, drop this on ‘em!!!
‘Gorilla Warfare’ blasts through the stratosphere strapped into the cockpit of alien synths and extraterrestrial beats, to the stars and beyond!!!
