I’ve been reworking a lot of my music lately (guess i’m running out of ideas?), so i decided to redo a mix of mine i made a few months back showcasing some of my higher tempo Breaks tunes that i have made over the last 5 years. This time a direct download from Soundcloud and featuring a few new reworks, flips, edits or whatever the cool kids are calling it these days.

The grandfathers of the Breaks scene Jay Cunning & Terry Hooligan recently dusted off some old tunes and bought them back into the light for a Breakbeat classic set. For those that remember there’s a bunch of top old classics in this mix which was broadcast LIVE at www.koollondon.com.

Original Rude Boy is getting geared up for the ‘Breakbeat Chaos‘ event that’s being held in Sydney on the 16th of July, with a truly mind blowing mix that’s gonna have the ravers attending hyped with anticipation. For many of us not attending, we can still get excited by this ravey Breaks mix that offers many trips down memory lane, along with with several brand new tunes, one of them being the second track in from Original Rude Boy himself. This 65 minute mix will have dancing like no one is watching!

It’s all gone double Dutch here on the ward. No, we’re not talking gibberish, we’re talking about the Amsterdam based duo, PROJECT89. These two guys who have just come together to start PROJECT89 are about to leave a lasting impression on you with their stunning rework of Dirty Vegas’ all time classic ‘Days Go By’. It’s hard to think how you can add to perfection, but the duo have somehow managed it with their rework. Pumped, punchy House music that’s ready to do some serious damage to dance floors!

The Funky Boogie Brothers have decided to keep the identity of the vocal in this rework of ‘She’s Got It’ a secret. If you can guess it, 100 points heading your way, but while you try and work it out, make sure you get a load Big Beat twist that’s been added to pep this baby up. Horns a plenty too which always adds that special spark. Whatever ‘she’s’ got, The Funky Boogie Brothers clearly have it too!

Firing up the Friday funk machine is Dutch producer, Ronny Hammond. This is a dude who lives and breathe’s, eats and sleeps all things Funk. It courses through his veins 24 hours a day and the only way to control the flow is by sitting down to create some stunning remixes, original tracks and mixes. His edit of ‘You’ve Got A Hard Head’ by, Johnny Guitar Watson, is our first introduction to Ronny’s work and it definitely won’t be the last, especially if the Funk keeps flowing as smoothly as it does.
