As far as mashup’s go, this one by Leygo is absolutely first class! He’s taken the phat beats from Cypress Hill‘s ‘Insane In The Brain’ and then added in the brilliant cover version of that song by Prince Fatty feat. Horseman. It’s a track Leygo made for his set at Boomtown Fair a couple of years ago and has just let it go for free and we have no doubts the whole crowd would have been bouncing, just like you’re going to! After reading up on them and checking out the music they have to offer, it’s clear that Desert Heart Records are a collective that many music fans can connect with. They started out as an intimate group of friends partying in the Mojave Desert and have now grown significantly to put on several Desert Heart Festivals a year and one off ‘City Hearts’ parties around America, with their main goal being, to help people have the best night of their lives at every party they attend.

As well as running all those parties, Desert Hearts are busy releasing some pretty damn fine House and Techno, a lot of which is free from their Soundcloud page. Months of blood, sweat, tears and fears over this DJ mix but music is about freedom of expression so this is my personal tribute to all the talented blessed souls that have influenced me and that are sadly no longer with us.
