Tyke is already a Playaz mainstay. Signing exclusively in 2013, he has released 4 EP's with the label, not only that, but earlier this year, Tyke undertook the mammoth task of remixing Potential Badboy's massive hit 'Revolution'. The remix gained support from Friction on his BBC Radio 1 Show, but Tyke is no stranger to this kind of backing from Drum & Bass's A-List though. Names like Hazard, Jumping Jack Frost, Nicky Blackmarket and even Andy C have all played and supported his music.

'Dream Catcher', Tyke's 5th EP on Playaz Recordings, expertly sweeps across a wide spectrum of influences to bring you a truly special collection of tunes. From Bassline to Jump-up, Jungle to Liquid and even a splash of Garage, Tyke takes you on a musical mission around the many sounds of the dancefloor. Long-time Hype collaborator, Daddy Earl also makes his presence felt on the EP, along with Yisrael on the title track.

Playaz yet again invest in exciting young talent in the Drum & Bass scene to amazing effect. But what else would you expect from such a ground breaking brand.

Even though I’ve had a handful of mixes posted hear on the ward, it still feels kinda awkward sharing them with you because I’m not really one to shout about things I’ve done. What I am happy to shout about though is other peoples music, which of course is what I love to do hear on LSM, but also in the odd mix too. This latest one from me features some real high quality Tech House from a large number of extremely talented producers whose music I connected with instantly when I first heard it. The mix itself is a slow burner with several gorgeous tracks to warm you up before the tempo picks up and really gets going. At 2 and a half hours long, it’s a mix I hope will take you on a magical journey. Enjoy.

Sound Shifter’s new EP out now on Ruff Guidance features 5 incredible excursions into the realms of Jungle/DnB. Combining precision production with knowledge and passion for the global phenomena that is Jungle music.

All the hallmarks for a Junglistic essential grab are here, those sounds you know, love and crave from the countless variations on the infamous Winston brothers ‘amen’ break to the textured layers of bass and atmosphere.

We especially love track 5 ‘I Want Your Love’, the pianos and rolling amens take us right back to 94/95!!!
