South Beach Recycling are a collective that go hunting for old skool Disco and Funk tracks, so that they can chop them up a bit and then rearrange them so that when they’re complete they slot right into sets for the dancefloors of today. The latest music to come from the collective is these 2 free tracks that pay hommage to a Disco/Funk legend, Bobby Thurston. ‘Check Out The Groove’ and ‘You Got What It Takes’ are the 2 tracks of Bobby’s that have been spruced up and readied to ensure they light up the lives of anyone who comes into contact with them. Most people will remember Freq Nasty (aka Darin McFayden) as the man with the long dreadlocks.
