If you caught our 2 previous Bernhardt posts, you would have read that his identity was being kept under wraps. That is the case no longer though as we can announce now that it is the new alias of the bearded Techno warrior, Hostage. His new alias of course, comes with a new sound and is one that is geared more towards creating more heat for the dance floor for the partygoers to really feed off. Bernhardt is set to hit it hard in 2017 so keep your eyes open, as this modified Techno warrior may be heading to your neck of the woods for a serious party!

Being a fairly recent convert to Techno and because I’ve been liking what I’ve been hearing from the Bernhardt side of things, I had to send out an invite for our advent calendar and as you can see, the answer was a resounding, yes! ‘Oil’ is the track that’s been kindly sent our way and it’s got the LSM HQ literally rocking! It’s hard as nails yet totally hypnotic at the same time and will most definitely create a moment of euphoric pleasure when encountered on a dance floor. If your bells start jingling, there’s a very good chance someone nearby has got this one maxed out!

Just when we thought that the Shambhala Festival, and in particular the, Fractal Forrest stage, had given up all they had on the mix front, there’s another couple of real heavyweight mixes popped up from there. Martin Waslewski brings some House Music gold to the top Berlin label, Mother Recordings. The ‘Smokey EP’ features two tracks that aren’t just a bit smokey, they are smouldering in 4×4 beat driven goodness!!

The title track has an amazing Bluesy feel to it, hence the title perhaps. Like the sound of jamming in a jazz club complete with call to action vocals, funky guitars and laidback pianos.

‘Work It Out’ is a perfect track for the Tech House massive, penetrating stabs, ravey whoops, a wobbly riff, off-kilter kicks and snares, pounding drums and a vocal you might know from the work of The Chemical Brothers. You simply have to buy this first class release!!!

Eight0Eight Records continue a string of incredibly strong releases with Applemoes x Oskar Smaal ‘Cats Organ EP’

The original is a cool blend of light Garagey sounds, swirling drops and deep driving beats. Rik Fransen goes in H.A.R.D with no messing drums and cavernous synths on the remix. Richey Ahmed goes for a more rounded tech feel a la Country Club Disco/Simma Black style. Currently climbing the Traxsource charts, why not help it climb further?

Joshwa joins Jump Digital for some serious Munky bizznizz!!!

The title track here is large with a capital L, hectic beats, deep bass and plenty of squelchy acid house riffs, oh and a monkey!!!
