The 7 midtempo tracks all have a spaced out and trippy feel but make no mistake, there all packed with a serious of groove that comes from the delicious Disco twist that’s been applied. Australian producer, DJ Soup, is throwing down the funk in a massive way with his edit of Rodger Collins‘ ‘Foxy Girls In Oakland‘. “Holy smokes!” is the only thing that runs through my mind while I listen to it and that’s happened quite a lot, because I’ve listened to it a lot. Beatvandals is a side project formed by the legendary Tim Utah of Utah Saints. Tim also runs the mid tempo Bombstrikes label with Mooqee an outfit to release some of their cheeky bootlegs and Funky Breaks music. This promo mix from 2008 was just at the beginning of the Nufunk scene which led to the Ghetto Funk scene and contains some rare bootlegs and edits from the Beatvandals.
