EXCLUSIVE: THE TREACHEROUS THREE – PUT THE BOOGIE IN YOUR BODY (AGFA REMIX) [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Frank Cueto and Rusty Belicek, the duo better known as the ALL GOOD FUNK ALLIANCE are getting ready to release a new EP on Fort Knox Recordings. The EP is still in production and doesn’t have a release date yet but that hasn’t stopped the pair from tweaking some edits for their own dj sets. Their latest, an edit of The Treacherous Three’s 1981 classic “Put the Boogie in Your Body” magically merges hip-hop from a bygone era and the funktastic modern twist AGFA is known for. Check it below and grab the free download, then school your mates.
If you haven’t checked this yet, the AGFA remix of Neighbour & Think Tank’s track “Peak” is kind of a must.

DOGREEN – RIGHT NOW EP [G-MAFIA RECORDS]

Hitting the streets roughly two months ago with their first release, G-Mafia Records have made a run of it. The Brazilian label’s latest, from DOGREEN, captures the essence of the g-house movement – low slung kicks pounding over simple vocal samples. The standout is the DASH GROOVE mix but the original and JUAN K PAUL remix stand on their own as well. Peep below and grab the EP on beatport.

It's not everyday a producer/DJ gets blogged by one of their favorite directors as is the case with Bobby C Sound TV who was recently blogged and called brilliant by Edgar Wright, director of such cult movies as Shaun Of The Dead, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and Hot Fuzz (check it right here www.edgarwrighthere.com/2011/05/26/ba…und-tv-remix/ ).
If that wasn't enough, Bobby recently got a shout out by the Godfather of hip-hop, Afrika Bambaataa on a recent remix for Ft. Knox Recordings. Krafty Kuts recently called him, "the master of funky breaks". Bobby C Sound TV is one Bobby Collins hailing from Denver, Colorado. He has been playing instruments from an early age and then a fateful show with Peanut Butter Wolf and Cut Chemist had him convinced on the spot that a pair of turntables were in his future. He has been DJing for the past 10 years and has played just about every venue in his home state including Red Rocks Amphitheater, The Fillmore as well as being the first artist in The First Bank Center (AEG's new 8,000 seat flagship venue) for its VIP party. He has done shows, tours and festivals and all over America and Canada including a headlining spot in the Fractal Forest at Shambhala Music Festival. Fall 2012 will see him embarking on a 16 show European tour. In 2010 Bobby was one of 20 DJ's in the US selected to play the Sweatshop Mixer at The Coachella Music Festival. In early 2009 Bobby started messing around with a video DJ plug-in and soon after unveiled, "Bobby C Sound TV". His love of cinema was combined with his 10 years of DJ experience to create a pastiche of pop-culture that is visually stimulating and danceable at the same time. His live mash up DJ approach was applied to create crowd rocking routines with some of the most memorable music videos, movie scenes and just about everything in between.
The past few years have seen him busier than ever on the production front with remixes and releases on 12 different labels worldwide and jumping on multiple top 10 lists for Juno Download and Beaport. He recently made the soundcloud weekly top 10 as well making their hottest tracks list for one of his fully original tracks, Neon Night Light. His Ray Charles remix made it to #4 on The Hype Machine's most popular list which was the third time he made their top 20 list. Many more releases are on the way and his Soundcloud page has been getting thousands of plays and downloads each week while his youtube channel is fast approaching 500,000 plays. His tracks have been turning up in DJ sets all around the world as of late to packed dancefloors everywhere.
Bobby has shared the stage with a number of heavy-hitters including George Clinton and the P-funk Allstars (2 times), Pretty Lights (3 times), Thievery Corporation, Z-Trip (18 times), Rjd2 (2 times), Q-Bert, Blackalicious, Gramatik (2 times), Krafty Kuts, A Skillz (2 times), De La Soul, The Pharcyde, Rakim, Madlib, DJ Yoda (2 times), Guru from Gangstarr, People Under the Stairs, DJ Cash Money, Kid Capri, DJ Greyboy, DJ Vadim (2 times), DJ Klever (2 times), DJ First Rate (Scratch Perverts UK), DJ Logic, DJ Spinna, Kid Koala, Cheb-I-Sabbah, Digital Underground, Naughty By Nature, Rudy Ray Moore a.k.a Dolomite, Maceo Parker, Kool Keith, Mike Relm, Tre Hardson of the Pharcyde, Daniel Johnston, Fishbone, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, John Scofield and so on and so on.

Festa (Quincy´s Caipirinha @ Praia de Geriba Edit)
I was travelling to Brazil in 2003 and had an great experience. I met a fantastic old man on the street of Rio de Janeiro. I have asked him for the way to the Sugarloaf . He showed me the way and also many beautiful places around Rio and a lot of Brazilian music. So finally we became friends.
One of the albums he showed me was by Elza Soares which includes the song “Festa”. I always thought about doing a edit of it. Now the time was right.
I hope you dig it.
