Almost ten years ago back in 2005 (when it was still at Fabric) we were treated to the phenomenal face-off that was Plump DJs vs Stanton Warriors.   Battle of the Goliaths, this is an epic thow down of the biggest, heaviest tunes being dropped in one of the best soundsystems in the world with a crowd that are simply up for it. SPX-Feel Good [Saucy Recs]

The success of any upstart always relies on the performance of its freshman product. Judging by the inaugural release on Brüxsel Jardin by NATHAN ØYE & CŒUR we should expect great things. It shouldn’t be much of a shock, however, as Brüxsel Jardin is a well regarded event series on the Brussels scene.

The title track begins to entice us with pretty, melancholic piano sounds laminated between a heavy layer of a deep, moody groove and an emotional atmosphere. Fans of the Future House sound should feel sonically at home immediately with this track.

Unumet is when you know these guys mean business. Very deep and expressive in a precise but not over-calculated manner is the formula here. Add in a confident kick to keep with the mission at hand, and you have a dominant track that is ready to take over the floor… especially one filled with after party goers imbibing themselves in the mood of some urban space tucked away in a basement or loft or warehouse.

What is groove. Difficult to explain. It has just to groove...maybe it's that kind of feeling that this music seems to be so "light" like the clouds in the sky.

The newest release from Fat! Recs comes from Jett, a London based producer who has carved their niche in terms of quality upfront house. ‘Streets Of You’ is a deep, dark affair that takes from the traditional definition of Deep House that goes all the way back to the 90’s, a hazy late night heads down stomper. ‘Zeus’ on the other hand is more on the speed gaarge/UKG influenced vibe of the currrent wave of Deep House, a powerful bassline driven peak time track, more joining of the dots and blending of styles for fresh and funky beats!!!
