Top Drawer Digital just put up this Kazumi Anzai track up for a free download. ‘Feel The Bass’ is a distinctly oldskool hardcore themed Tech House tune. A great vibe on this thanks to the almost continuous rolling breaks and some 1991 era Prodigy style synths

They’ve reworked Unlcle Louie’s 1979 Disco jam ‘I Like Funky Music’ and added in a party rippin’ bassline, the fattest beats and the largest amount of Funk going. Michael Davies aka, Miché, is a DJ/ producer from Bournemouth who has slipped his way into the world of Disco quite nicely. He DJ’s alongside his good friend Kyle Andries as part of, Yougoodthing, but when producing solo music, he likes to dabble in the world of Disco edits and he’s pretty handy at it, I mean check out this edit of his, which I’m yet to track down the original of, but that aside, this is one funkified Disco jam that’s gonna enter your life like a warm, glowing, ray of sunshine and all will be well at it’s end.

There’s an unmistakable scent of Disco filling the air here on the ward and it’s all emanating from this new tune from, Dave Mathmos. Dave is a bit of a Disco king and to underestimate his power to make you get up and move, wherever you may be and whatever you might be doing, would be a foolish thing to do. A great way to get a grasp of his power is to hit the play button on this remix of Richard T Bear‘s ‘Sunshine Hotel‘ that’s so full of life and positivity, as well as some trusty Disco groove. New Vision Records is a label that’s new to us here on the ward. After checking them out, we’ve found that their aim is to promote fresh new talent from the electronic music scene from anywhere in the world. They don’t discriminate against genres and like ourselves, believe that good music is good music and it should be heard.

Our first introduction to the kind of music they release comes from American producer, NAAR. He himself has a new vision on the music he makes as he’s recently changed codes, taking him from Hip Hop to Tech House. His debut release is this free 4 track House EP ‘Mr Lee‘ and a listen will confirm that his change in direction is an inspired one!

His superb EP kicks off with ‘Switch‘, a highly intoxicating techy roller. Flick the ‘switch’ and set your soul alight. Next up is ‘At Barry’s House‘ and if Barry’s dropping tunes like this at his House, I want in! This Acid tinged groover is gonna make you move! The title track of the EP ‘Mr Lee‘ is the final track from NAAR on the EP and what a breathtaking stunner it is. You’re happy place is where you’ll be heading when it gets a hold of you. Completing the EP is a remix of ‘Mr Lee’ by long time label friend, Oliver Rees. He’s cranked up the intensity levels and has come up with a tune that’ll have your dancing shoes begging for mercy!

Jo Manji have been racking up plays on their Spotify page at a rapid rate, which is no surprise at all once you’ve checked out the amazing selection of House and Chillout music they make. As well as creating classy originals, the duo have a huge collection of bootlegs, remixes and edits to sift through. The most recent one of these remixes is their 2017 refresh of an all time old skool classic ‘Anthem‘ by, N-Joi.
